'Provided sensitive information': Iran executes alleged Mossad spy; dozens detained since Israeli strikes
Representative image As the conflict between Iran and Israel entered its tenth day, Iranian authorities on Sunday executed a man convicted of spying for Israel's Mossad intelligence agency, according to the country's judiciary. "Majid Mosayebi... was hanged this morning after going through the full process of criminal procedure and after his sentence was confirmed by the Supreme Court," the judiciary-run Mizan online website reported. He had been accused of attempting to provide sensitive information to Mossad. Mosayebi's case is the latest in a series of similar executions. In May, Iranian authorities executed Mohsen Langarneshin Pedram Madani, also convicted of spying for Mossad. Since Israel's attack on June 13, Iranian authorities have made several arrests of individuals suspected of spying for Israel. The execution comes the same day as US bombed Iran's three nuclear facilities, following which, Tehran carried out retaliatory strikes on Tel Aviv and targeted strategic sites in Israel. Iran's revolutionary guards said they won't be intimidated by the noise made by Trump 'or criminal gangs ruling the White House and Tel Aviv' and warned that US has places itself directly 'at the front line of aggression' by attacking nuclear sites.

Since Israel's attack on June 13, Iranian authorities have made multiple arrests of individuals allegedly linked to espionage activities on behalf of Israel. Police in Iran's Qom province have arrested 22 individuals allegedly 'linked to Israeli spy services" since June 13, according to a report by the Fars news agency on Saturday, reported AFP. '22 people were identified and arrested on charges of being linked to the Zionist regime's spy services, disturbing public opinion and supporting the criminal regime," the outlet quoted the head of police intelligence in the province as saying. The latest arrests follow a separate announcement on Thursday, when Iranian authorities reported the detention of 24 individuals accused of spying for Israel and attempting to damage the country's image, Tasnim news agency stated, reported AFP. Additionally, on Friday, Tasnim reported that a European national had also been arrested for espionage, though no details regarding their nationality or the timing of the arrest were disclosed. Iran frequently reports the detention of individuals suspected of espionage. In recent weeks, several have been executed. The Norway-based NGO Iran Human Rights reported that at least 223 people have been arrested nationwide on charges related to collaboration with Israel, warning that the real number could be even higher. The Natanz enrichment facility, which is located about 220 km southeast of Tehran, has already been a target of Israeli strikes earlier. The Fordow enrichment facility, located southwest of Tehran, was struck with a 'full payload of bombs', said Trump. The nuclear facility at Isfahan, southeast of Tehran, was also targeted. The site also has three Chinese research reactors and laboratories. Trump issued a warning after the strikes on the Iranian nuclear sites, saying "there will either be peace or there will be tragedy for Iran'. In response, Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said Tehran has the right to defend itself against US' 'grave violation'. 'The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran's peaceful nuclear installations,' said Araghchi. Araghchi also called the US strikes "outrageous", warning its consequences would be everlasting.
