Saudi Crown Prince affirms regional deescalation and end to Gaza war
Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman underlined the need for deescalation in the region and stopping the war in the Gaza Strip. Opening the Gulf-US Summit in Riyadh on Wednesday, the Crown Prince applauded US President Donald Trump's decision to lift sanctions on Syria. MADINAH, May 13 (Bernama-SPA) -- The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque on Monday launched a multi-pillar operational plan for the Prophet's Mosque during the 1446 AH Hajj season, aimed at promoting moderation and conveying the humanitarian message of pilgrimage. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the plan encompasses 100 enriching awareness initiatives and five smart enrichment pathways to enhance the digital experience for Hajj pilgrims. King Salman invites Gulf leaders to attend Gulf-US summit
Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has extended invitations to leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to attend the Gulf-US summit, scheduled to be held in Riyadh. The summit is part of US President Donald Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE this week. The US president will arrive in Riyadh on Tuesday, May 13. Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshaal Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a written letter from the King, including an invitation to attend the summit. The letter was delivered by the Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khalid during a meeting in Kuwait. Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman received a written message from King Salman including an invitation to attend the Gulf-US Summit. Saudi Ambassador to Oman Ibrahim bin Saad bin Bishan delivered the message to Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi during their meeting in Muscat,. King Hamad Al-Khalifa of Bahrain also received a written message from King Salman including an invitation to attend the summit. The message was delivered by the Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain Naif Al-Sudairy. During the meeting, King Hamad Al-Khalifa expressed his thanks and appreciation to King Salman, praising the close and solid historical ties between the two Kingdoms and the continuous development of fraternal cooperation and coordination at all levels to achieve the best interests of both peoples. He also expressed his pride over King Salman's benevolent efforts to strengthen Bahraini-Saudi relations and Saudi Arabia's pioneering role in developing the joint Gulf action, deepening ties and cooperation between the GCC countries, and consolidating the foundations of security, stability, and peace in the the American news website Axios reported that during his meeting with the Gulf leaders, Trump will present his country's vision for engagement with the Middle Eastern affairs, as well as clarify his policy priorities in the region.
