Egypt, US discuss Libya crisis amid regional diplomatic push
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty has held a phone conversation with Mossad Boulos, senior adviser to the US president for Arab and Middle Eastern affairs and senior adviser for Africa, to discuss the latest developments in Libya. According to Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the call focused on regional efforts to stabilise Libya, following a meeting in Cairo of the tripartite mechanism for Libya's neighbouring countries – Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia – which took place on Sunday. The trilateral meeting underlined the need to preserve security and stability across Libya, safeguard national resources, and respect the country's unity and territorial integrity. During the call, Abdel Aaty reiterated Egypt's stance on the necessity of the withdrawal of all foreign forces, mercenaries, and foreign fighters from Libya, along with the dismantling of armed militias – steps seen as essential to restoring peace and order. Boulos, representing the US administration, underscored the importance of supporting efforts aimed at ending Libya's political divisions and advancing toward lasting stability. Grand Egyptian Museum Welcomes Trump's Senior Advisor
Amir Hagag The Grand Egyptian Museum welcomed Mossad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the President of the United States for Arab and Middle Eastern Affairs and Senior Advisor for African Affairs, as part of his first official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt. Accompanied by a high-level delegation, he visited the museum to view its archaeological treasures and learn about the rich history of ancient Egyptian civilization, for which the museum serves as a global platform for displaying and documenting. Mossad Boulos and his accompanying delegation were received by Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, who took them on a tour of the outdoor courtyard, the main lobby, and the Grand Staircase, leading to the main exhibition halls.
