A$AP Rocky's AWGE SS26 Returns to Paris in "Obligatory Fashion"
Summary It was a big week forA$AP Rockyas he returned to Paris to present his second collection forAWGE. Following a surprise appearance atJonathan Anderson's debut Dior show, Rocky capped off his fashion week with the unveiling of the collection titled 'Obligatory Fashion,' that appeared to be set to new tracks off of Rocky's highly-anticipated new album. The show served as a compelling commentary on how necessity breeds trends, how once-stigmatized 'ghetto' styles now define luxury, and how institutional dress evolves into cultural iconography. As guests entered the show, they were greeted by masked uniform men, resembling SWAT individuals. Guests had to go through set of metal detectors which also lined the runway. Drawing from his own court house experience of his most recent public trial, the collection and set was a comment on the powerful alchemy that converts items born from practicality or social circumstance into symbols of aspirational style. This narrative unfolded through garments that challenged perceptions, blurring lines between what's considered foundational and what's deemed cutting-edge. On the runway, Rocky offered tantalizing glimpses of his forthcoming PUMA footwear collaboration, featuring the striking Mostro Gabbia and a distressed interpretation of the classic Speedcat. Further elevating the footwear, Christian Louboutin lent select silhouettes, which were then customized with bespoke AWGE charms by Pavē Niteō. Pavē Niteō, fresh from their diamond-encrusted Ray-Ban debut at the Met Gala, also supplied Rocky's personal jewelry for the evening, reinforcing the collection's high-wattage appeal. The collection was quintessentially Rocky, showcasing varying sides of the the multi-hyphenate musician. Taking inspiration from the suits he wore to the court and his everyday garb that consists of oversized bomber jackets and untucked gingham button-downs, the collection hinged on wearability for numerous occasions. From double-breasted cream and vibrant green suits to multi-layered boxers under low-riding chinos, the collection touches upon every facet of Rocky's fashion wardrobe. Explicit and implicit statements were made, including wearable bullet-proof vests and jerseys that read, 'Not Guilt, Stop Snitchin.' A family affair, front row saw the likes of Rihanna, their son, A$AP Nast and more support Rocky on his second show.

The collab we didn't know we needed is here. A$AP Rocky and PUMA have introduced their brand-new capsule collection of footwear, apparel, and accessories in New York City. The collection's campaign video, directed by Rocky, also debuted featuring an unreleased track of his. The collection fuses classic streetwear design with striking colour pops, technical textures, and touches of motorsport DNA. Two of Rocky's favoured PUMA sneakers – Inhale and Mostro OG – return alongside a bold new style and new personal Flacko favourite: Mostro Gabbia, built with a removable cage. The Mostro Gabbia draws its name from the Italian words Caged Monster and channels the spirit of the PUMA archive through a lens of modern tech, layered with evolved armour. Described as 'a creature of design' it's built to shield, adapt and transform with every step. During the concept and design of this collection, A$AP Rocky wanted to lean into the spirit of racing – fast, alive and reactive. Reflective surfaces, a familiar language in car culture, emerged as a common theme in both footwear and apparel. This marks Rocky's largest collection to date featuring a wide range of apparel pieces including t-shirts, belts, hats, bags and jean shorts. 'I had the opportunity to dig into PUMA's archives and blend together the best of several shoes while adding my own lens and style,' said A$AP Rocky. 'You have the sleekness of the Mostro OG, the innovation and technology of the PUMA disc, and the cage around the shoe for added protection. 'All together, this created the Mostro Gabbia aka the Caged Puma, an entirely new silhouette.' The full collection includes: A$AP ROCKY x PUMA MOSTRO OG This version features reflective 3M hits that echo headlights on midnight drives and the glint of speed under streetlights. Designed in sleek black, gray, and silver, it keeps the Mostro's classic spiked sole and sculptural silhouette, with a dynamic allover upper for a futuristic edge. A$AP ROCKY x PUMA INHALE REFLECTIVE A$AP Rocky puts his own spin on the classic PUMA Inhale, with 3M hits inspired by headlights and streetlights on midnight drives. Contoured lines and hits of red branding keep the aesthetic fast and fluid, finished off with Flacko branding at the tongue. A$AP ROCKY x PUMA FLACKO SMILE BABY TEE This slim, cropped baby tee is made from soft cotton and features an oversized Flacko smile graphic at the front, with PUMA and AWGE logo hits on the sleeves. It's finished with black lace trim at the sleeves for a playful edge. A$AP ROCKY x PUMA FLACKO SMILE TEE Made with cotton, this tee features an oversized Flacko-branded smile and AWGE and PUMA Cat Logo hits at the sleeves. A$AP ROCKY x PUMA DENIM SHORT Fusing functionality with fashion, these shorts are made with dark wash denim with classic 5 pocket styling, a laser-printed PUMA Cat Logo at the front, and an embroidered Formstrip on the back patch pockets.
