Olivia Munn Says Her Son Malcolm, 3, 'Recognizes' Dad John Mulaney When He's on TV — and 'Loves' Watching His Show (Exclusive)
Olivia Munn's son is starting to understand what his dad does for a living.
While speaking with PEOPLE at the launch event for the brand's new app on Tuesday, April 29, the Your Friends and Neighbors actress, 44, shares that her son 3-year-old Malcolm recognizes her husband John Mulaney when he sees him on TV. The proud mom, who also shares her daughter Méi, 7 months, with the comedian, 42, also says that he makes frequent visits to the set of Mulaney's Netflix show, Everybody's Live With John Mulaney.
"He clocks it and he says things to John, and he said the other day, he was like 'You had so many guys stand in a diagonal line,' and it was for like ... a height thing," she tells PEOPLE. "Malcolm goes to set and he sees the same Mother Robot. He knows everyone there, so he recognizes John on TV and remembers it."
Following the PEOPLE event, Munn shared a clip of her interview on her Instagram Stories, adding, "Malcolm loves watching daddy's Netflix show Everybody's Live every Wednesday."

During his Netflix show Everybody's Live With John Mulaney, the comedian poked fun at what it's like raising a toddler. Mulaney compared the experience to working on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, almost five years after the show ended following toxic workplace allegations made against host Ellen DeGeneres.
"You know what having a 3-year-old is like?' he asked viewers. 'Having a 3-year-old is what I imagine working on Ellen [DeGeneres'] show was like. Because people come over and they're like, 'How is it?' And you're, like, 'Oh, it's fine. You know, we have fun. There's games.''
"We have dancing, you know. So if he starts dancing, you dance. But if he stops dancing,' he continued, changing to a more serious tone before saying, "You f------ stop dancing right away.''

On Easter Monday, Munn shared a hilarious post on Instagram after experiencing a day that she says will now live in "infamy" in her household with her son. In the carousel of photos, Munn could be seen holding hands with her toddler son, who walked with his mom through the streets of New York City in only his socks. At the end of the carousel, Munn added a picture of his worn socks, which now feature a hole in the heel.
"Yes, this is my 3-year-old walking through the streets of New York in only his socks," Munn hilariously wrote in her caption. "I'm posting this for all the parents who thought it would be great to take advantage of the beautiful weather and took their toddler on a walk only for them to lie down screaming on the floor of Whole Foods, run through the aisles of CVS screaming 'I don't like anyone!!' and knocked over your iced tea before your first sip, all while carrying your 7-month-old strapped to your body."
The mom of two went on to say that even though she tried her "absolute best," the day will now live in "infamy."
"This Easter Monday will live in infamy in my memory as the day I tried my absolute best, got us home without another tantrum and learned that the rubber padding on toddler socks can only take so much," Munn wrote. "Cheers to anyone else who went through this today or any other day. You have my utmost respect. 🫡."
