Lewis Hamilton's private handwritten note which ‘fulfilled the heart' revealed by Mercedes F1 successor Kimi Antonelli
LEWIS HAMILTON penned a "heart fulfilling" private note to his Mercedes replacement Kimi Antonelli. The Italian prodigy, 18, reacted to Hamilton's personal message for the first time ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix this weekend. 2 Antonelli took over from Hamilton after the Brit announced he was ending his 12-year stint under Toto Wolff to fulfil his dream of racing for Ferrari. And as Mercedes use the same motorhome for European races only, Antonelli only got to read the letter when he arrived on Thursday. Opening up about it, the young Italian, who was born down the road in Bologna - which is a 30 minutes drive away from the Imola circuit - said the note was "motivational". Antonelli said: "It says a lot about how Lewis is as a person. I could see a lot of the human side of Lewis, not only the driver. "Reading the message, it fulfilled my heart to receive it from such a figure in the sport. "He has done so much and he's still right there giving his best. He's one of the best in history. "It was amazing. It also contained some advice, and I will use it as motivation to go out there and do my best — because it doesn't happen every day." Quizzed on if he'll keep the letter, Antonelli added: "Yeah, it's actually on my wall. I'll keep it there. "The message is so nice that I just want to leave it there. Every time I enter the room, I can see it. It's a really good reminder." Antonelli has hit the big time in F1 and is now keen to bring his school pals along for the ride. Lewis Hamilton fumes 'have a tea break while you're at it' at Ferrari staff and refuses to apologise in Miami GP bust-up On media day, he rolled out the red carpet for his family and classmates to get an exclusive taste of the trackside action at Imola. He even joined in the festivities in his hometown on Wednesday evening as its football team clinched their first silverware in over half a century. Antonelli has dreams of bettering his record-breaking Sprint pole achieved last time out in Miami, and sits just above Hamilton in sixth in the drivers standings. 2

Elaine Welteroth Says ‘Motherhood Needs a Rebrand': ‘More Fun Than It Sounds' (Exclusive)
Elaine Welteroth held her first birthFUND Mother's Day Party with a Purpose as a way to celebrate the holiday with families in the community The journalist founded the organization after her own poor experience trying to find an OB-GYN during her first pregnancy She shares two children with husband Jonathan SingletaryElaine Welteroth is celebrating the magic of motherhood. On Saturday, May 10, the New York Times best-selling author and mother of two, 38, hosted her first birthFUND Mother's Day Party with a Purpose event in Los Angeles at The Underground Museum. The organization, which she founded after her own disparaging experience while trying to find an OB-GYN during her first pregnancy, was created to 'cover the cost of holistic perinatal care and midwifery birth support' for local L.A. women who otherwise would not be able to. Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, Welteroth called hosting the community event on her fifth wedding anniversary to husband Jonathan Singletary 'total serendipity.' 'Last year, we were launching, and it made sense to do something that was intimate,' she said. 'But for this year, people need a reason to dance. People need a reason to gather joyfully. We need a reason to remember how powerful we are in the community. And that's what this event is about.' Welteroth, who made history in 2016 as the second person of African-American heritage in Condé Nast's 107-year history to be named editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue, welcomed her second child in November 2024. At Saturday's event, she told PEOPLE there needs to be a shift in how some people view motherhood. 'It's so much more fun than I ever imagined. It's the joy of my life. It's the best part of my life. I used to be afraid that my life was too full to fit in motherhood and that I'd have to give up something that I value. But it's only expanded my life and my sense of purpose,' Welteroth said. She continued, 'They're the best part of my life and they're the most fun. Truly. I wish people – I feel like motherhood needs a rebrand because it's way more fun than it sounds like.' 'But a lot of that has to do with having the right support. And so that's what we're here, that's why we're here today. We really believe that mothers deserve more support than they're given. And when you have the right support and the right village behind you, motherhood is such a joyful experience,' she said. And the former talk show host has her own village that made helping her community possible. Additional birthFUND founding members include moms like Serena Williams, Chrissy Teigen, Ashley Graham, Kelly Rowland and more. The 'Motivation' singer, 44, was in attendance at the Party with a Purpose, along with other celebrity mommies Tika Sumpter, Jeannie Mai, Allison Holker, Victoria Monét, Chanel Iman, Chudney Ross and more. 'This Mother's Day weekend felt like a family reunion! 💕So beyond grateful for everyone who pulled up to party with us for our first family-friendly @birthfund Mother's Day Benefit. It was part elevated cookout, part carnival for the kids. Still on a high!' Welteroth captioned an Instagram recap. In a separate post, she wrote, 'My vision was fully fulfilled. And now my heart is exploding with LOVE. For my family, my friends, my community and most of all for my babies. And all the #birthFUND babies (54 of them!) who are thriving bc of the way you all have shown up for this idea that has blossomed into a movement for maternal health at a time when we couldn't need to show up for moms more.' 1969 Yenko Camaro 'Motivation' Reemerges After Nearly 50 Years with Under 22,000 Original Miles
Read the full story on Modern Car Collector A long-lost muscle car icon has returned to the spotlight for the first time in nearly half a century. The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko, known in its racing days as 'Motivation,' made a surprise appearance at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Illinois last fall—its first public outing since 1976. Owned by noted Camaro collector Doug Perry, the Olympic Gold Yenko Camaro is one of just ten examples finished in the rare hue and one of only 201 built in 1969. Even more remarkably, this street-and-strip legend retains its original L72 427-cubic-inch big-block V8 and has logged fewer than 22,000 miles since new. Originally sold at Nankivell Chevrolet in Indianapolis, the Camaro was purchased by professional drag racer Richard L. Barratt, who campaigned it in NHRA Super Stock D under the name 'Motivation.' The Yenko Camaro proved highly competitive, running at Beech Bend, Raceway Park, Edgewater, Milan, and Muncie dragways. It racked up wins and recognition before being sold in 1972 and ultimately retired from racing by 1976. Despite being passed between multiple performance-minded owners, the car remained largely intact. In 2019, Perry acquired the Camaro from the owner who had converted it for street use in the late '70s. It has since undergone preservation and detailing, but remains largely original—including the drivetrain and four-speed transmission. The return of this rare Yenko drew major attention at the MCACN event, especially among enthusiasts familiar with its competition history. Perry, who also owns the final 1967 Yenko Camaro built, says this '69 example is among the most complete and historically significant in his stable. 'It's incredible to see a car with this much provenance survive,' said Lou Costabile, who profiled the car on his YouTube channel. 'It's a true time capsule.' For now, Perry plans to continue preserving 'Motivation,' giving muscle car fans a rare glimpse at one of the ultimate expressions of Yenko's high-performance legacy. Normani Reveals Why Acting in Her First Film Was 'Freeing': 'I Learned a Lot About Myself' (Exclusive)
Between singing, dancing, acting and even bartending, is there anything Normani can't do? Nearly a year after releasing her Dopamine album, the "Wild Side" singer, 28, served as Hennessy's celebrity bartender at Dreamville Fest on April 5 in Raleigh, N.C. — as she celebrates her film debut in Freaky Tales, which hit theaters one day prior. Centered on four interconnected stories set in 1987 Oakland, Calif., Freaky Tales features Normani as Entice, a member of a girl group who faces difficulties while working her way to the big leagues. "It's liberating and very freeing, being able to be creative in a totally different way," the Fifth Harmony alum tells PEOPLE at the festival of acting in the film, which also stars Pedro Pascal, Jay Ellis, Dominique Thorne and others. Related: Normani Responds to Camila Cabello After She Congratulates Her on Release of 'Dopamine': 'This Seriously Means a Lot' "I felt like I learned a lot about myself, and I was actually able to celebrate myself and watch myself and not be super critical," explains Normani. "When I get home tonight or maybe tomorrow, I'll take my mom and my dad and my grandma and go to the movie." Freaky Tales marks the "Motivation" artist's latest major artistic endeavor following the release of her debut album, Dopamine, in June 2024. Since sharing the full-length project with fans, she's felt "grateful" for the support of her "amazing fans" — who've been hoping for some more visuals and performances to accompany the music. "I got you. We have a lot of special things set up," teases Normani, who's also "always working on new music." As for why she chose to team up with Hennessy to kick off the cognac brand's Made for More campaign, the star says, "I love to partner with brands that are very inclusive and just kind of represent everybody." Normani, who's engaged to NFL star DeKaylin 'DK' Metcalf, was interested in the collaboration after seeing Hennessy's work not only in music but also the sports world, as the brand has partnered with the WNBA, "which I think is really dope," she says. "It's just a really equal, fun, responsible brand, so I was really excited to partner." Related: DK Metcalf and Normani FaceTime Ciara and Russell Wilson to Share Their Engagement News Fans who visited the Hennessy Highline at Dreamville Fest were treated to cocktails from Normani as well as a high-energy DJ set from Mannie Fresh, who drew quite the crowd at Dorothea Dix Park. Cole as well as Lil Wayne, Erykah Badu, PartyNextDoor, 21 Savage, Ari Lennox, Keyshia Cole, GloRilla, Coco Jones and many other artists. While this year's Dreamville Fest was billed as the fifth and final, Cole told fans during his headlining set that the festival will continue to "exist" in the future under a different name.
