Jay Peak record setting season not over yet
JAY, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – Jay Peak saw record setting numbers in terms of snowfall this winter season. It had gotten 475 inches in total, which is 125 more inches than what they typically see.
The resort had gotten most of its snow between January and February, which Andy Stenger, Director of Mountain and Base Area Operations says was neck and neck with Alta and Jackson Hole for some of the best conditions in the nation at that time.
Stenger also says the resort also saw great numbers in terms of lodging and ticket sales.
Every weekend we were north of 90%, all holiday weeks we were north of 95%, so we had a lot of people on campus.

And they're not done just yet. Stenger says they plan on re-opening for one last shred this weekend. Then, in June, Jay Peak will hold its 2nd Annual Summer Solstice Event, which is a rail jam. Stenger says there will be at least a couple hundred participants.
