The center is planned in a part of the Moville Methodist Church, serving more than 50 children ages 12 and under. The project has an estimated cost of $950,000. So far, $260,000 has been raised.
'We wanted to give as much as we could, to be generous, and so we came upon 60% of the ask which resulted in a $150,000 donation to the Moville Community Development Association, which they're going to use to apply for a MRHD grant to help double that and get a dollar for dollar match,' said Chairman Dan Bittinger.
The new care center looks to add 15 new jobs in the county, and it's anticipated to open in the fall of 2026.
