Tanya Bardsley reveals surgeon pulled out 20-year-old 'cement' filler during her face lift: 'I started looking like a bulldog'
has revealed her surgeon pulled out 20-year-old 'cement-like' filler during a recent cosmetic procedure.
The model and former Real Housewives of Cheshire star, 44, has always been open about her surgical enhancements and believes celebrities should be honest about the work they've had done.
After noticing her 'jowls just dropped' while dealing with perimenopause symptoms, Tanya initially planned to get a full facelift last year – but her surgeon advised against it, insisting she only needed minor adjustments.
In the past, Tanya has had filler injected into her face, but she had no idea that it lay dormant in the areas where it was injected.
Before going under the knife, she candidly told The Mirror: 'I started looking like a bulldog.

She continued: 'I just thought "I'm not having this anymore, I feel terrible and I can't control it, but I can control these chops" I'd heard great things about Mr Rao – I didn't have the full facelift.
Instead, her surgeon 'sewed muscles back to where they were,' giving Tanya natural cheekbones without the need for filler.
She shared: 'He was dragging out 20-year-old filler, scraping it out which was amazing. It's just like starting again – you can't keep pumping it full of filler and Mr Rao is just amazing, he did all these pre-videos and everything. I was deciding for a good year because I'm impulsive. I have to tell myself I need to wait a year now.'
Tanya added that Mr Rao, who operates at Pall Mall Medical, told her the old filler was 'like concrete'.
She also opened up about how perimenopause can affect you both emotionally and physically as your skin tends to change and everything 'drops' including your personality.
And while her face may have lifted slightly, she admitted it also gave her mood a much-needed lift.
In new photos obtained by The Mirror, Tanya beams as she shows off her refreshed look.
Meanwhile, her daughter Gabriella, 23, also had a consultation at Pall Mall Medical for a breast lift but ultimately decided against it.

Tanya said the surgeon 'talked her out of it' after explaining that her expectations 'could never be achieved' without visible scarring.
The TV personality is keen for women to support each other in making informed choices about their bodies and insists on being transparent about her own procedures.
Her main reason for doing so is because she doesn't want girls to compare themselves to someone who has had cosmetic work done.
Away from the clinic, Tanya has been keeping busy with her new ITV reality show, The Bardo Bunch, which features her entire family and is now streaming globally via Hayu.
She confessed she was nervous about how the show would be received, but so far, she says the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
Although it's on the same platform as The Kardashians, Tanya admitted her family are quite different to the Los Angeles natives.
Her husband, Macclesfield FC assistant manager Phil Bardsley, had always refused to film with her for Real Housewives but eventually agreed to appear in the new show.
The star revealed it took a 'long time' to convince him to appear on the show but he still 'cringes' when he watches himself.
