I Won't Tell If You Won't: 33 Affordable Alternatives To Trendy Products
Mrs. Meyer's Tomato Vine hand soap if you long for the Loewe Tomato Leaves liquid soap but refuse to spend $85 on something that literally goes down the drain. This soap is made with aloe vera, glycerin, and olive oil, so your hands will feel fancy either way. Silicone snack bags that are just as thick and easy to seal as Stashers, but at a price that won't scare you back to using disposable ones. These are microwave-, oven-, dishwasher-, and freezer safe, so you can throw them through the kitchen gauntlet without worry. Store leftovers, travel with snacks, get your makeup through airport security, or even poach food in them — the world's your oyster! Le Monde Gourmand Pistachio Brûlée Eau de Parfum for anyone who was excited to hear about D.S. & Durga's Pistachio scent but was immediately turned off by the price. You can capture that warm, nutty, sweet smell for the price of two ice cream sundaes. Or a hydrating body butter with an entralling pistachio fragrance that infatuated reviewers have likened to Sol de Janeiro's Bum Bum Cream or Laura Mercier's Creme de Pistache Eau Gourmande. With the help of vitamin E, the whipped moisturizer aims to leave you feeling like a decadent, Michelin-approved dessert for a Costco sheet cake price. A set of wrist and ankle weights to add some resistance to your workout or brisk walk around the neighborhood. They're arguably just as cute as Bala Bangles, but without the eye-watering price tag. A spandex-blend slip maxi dress that's the closest you can get to wearing a nightgown outside while still looking ready for date night. Reviewers say that this fabric is not only comparable to a certain Skims dress, it might actually be even better. And a long-sleeve bodysuit offering the same buttery softness as the beloved Skims version. The fashion line is called Smoke Cloud because the fabric can stretch to twice its size and mold to your curves. Reviewers say it even washes well! Catrice "Instant Awake" Under Eye Brightener to expertly conceal and brighten dark circles under your eyes just as well as the $33 Becca version. The lightweight, color-adapting formula is designed to blend seamlessly — check the drastic difference in the review photo! A cult-favorite luxury-scented candle reviewers love for its intoxicating and long-lasting smell (think: Le Labo's Santal 33). It has an impressive throw, meaning you can actually fill your home with its calming jasmine, oud, and sandalwood scent instead of having to stick your nose right up to the flame. A colorful pan from BuzzFeed's Goodful line you can use to pan fry, sauté, sear, boil, simmer, blanche, braise, poach, deep fry, get it. On top of being dishwasher safe and nonstick, it's also quite the looker. Perhaps even cuter than the Always Pan? A Baccarat Rouge 540-inspired moisturizing body wash offering an affordable solution to your dependence on that beloved (but pricey) fragrance. Thanks to the notes of white jasmine, red currant, and sweet amber, shower time has never smelled better. A Simple Modern tumbler with double-wall insulation that reviewers say can keep drinks cold up to 24 hours. On top of Jack Bauer-level protection, the stainless steel mug comes in a ton of cute colors and prints like dreamy clouds and springtime flowers. Not too shabby if you don't care about brand names! A viral "Soft" perfume rollerball for anyone who wants people to think of them and think "yum." Reviewers compare this ~$5 fragrance to caramel, lemon cupcakes, warm vanilla scones, cotton candy, and this $65 bottle of Pink Sugar! MagicMinerals AirBrush Foundation, which reviewers have been relieved to find, because it's just like Dior's discontinued Airflash. To experience the magic that has 17,000+ people raving, apply the foundation to the included brush and glide it over your skin. Your face will look so smooth and radiant that people will wonder if you figured out how to use Photoshop on your face in real life. A classic bubbly paperclip chain that could easily be mistaken for a Tiffany HardWear necklace. The 14-karat gold-plated piece is so convincing, your friends might start expecting you to pick up the check at dinner. An Overmont cast-iron Dutch oven if you love the charm and function of Le Creuset, but not the price. This durable pot can still provide for all your stewing, boiling, roasting, and frying needs: It's oven safe up to 500 degrees F, cooks evenly, and cleans up like a dream. E.l.f.'s Hydrating Core Lip Shine in the "Ecstatic" shade, which reviewers say works as a very good, affordable replacement for Clinique's "Black Honey," the $25 "universal shade" that has a Shakira-level of fame and adoration. This $7 alternative is nonsticky, moisturizes with vitamin E, and melts onto your lips like buttah. Also from E.l.f., their Lash XTNDR Tubing Mascara, which creates tubing around your lashes to make them appear longer, thicker, and darker. The lightweight "extensions" won't smudge or weigh down your actual lashes and — best of all — they fall right off when you wash your face. Tartelette Tubing Mascara is shaking in its boots right now. Polarized sunglasses for people who know they can't be trusted with high-end pairs. These look a lot like Ray-Bans *and* they come in a three-pack, so losing a pair at the park won't be a world-ending event. A trio of hydrating lip sleeping masks offering a Laneige-like experience for just a fraction of the price. The berry extract and vitamin C work to moisturize lips as you go to bed, proving that beauty sleep is a real thing. Breathable, pointed-toe flats similar to classic Rothy's with stretchy knit uppers that'll have you tap dancing with glee when you try them on. When your dancing shoes start to get dingy, just toss 'em in the wash. A trendy bamboo-style frame you might have thought came from Framebridge or Aerin, but nope! Amazon. This affordable frame will help you score beach house or tiki vibes even if you're in a 1BR in a landlocked state. A midi corset dress if you love the House of CB Carmen dress but not the price. ($225?!) You can still enjoy a cinched back, front tie, and all the compliments of the real deal. A baroque-inspired mirror for anyone who has been eyeing the gorgeous Anthropologie mirrors but can't quite rationalize the hefty price tag. This piece of decor is pretty similar and comes at a fraction of the cost. A pair of Cushionaire cork-bottom sandals that are not only supremely comfortable but also an affordable alternative to Mayari Birks. The similarities go past just looks: They also have 100% genuine suede soles, so your feet are still treated to the best. Maybelline's Cheek Heat gel-cream blush perfect for fans of Glossier Cloud Paint's results — just not the price. Like its pricier cousin, the buildable formula can be lightly tapped onto your cheeks so you can look bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in seconds. An 18-karat gold-plated cherry keychain because dropping almost $100 on the one from Coach is honestly kind of ridiculous. Reviewers say this one is almost identical! A super-soft longline sports bra some have compared to Lululemon's Align tank top for an Equinox-level workout look at a Planet Fitness price. Reviewers say it offers a little less compression, so you can wear it on casual days, too. And high-waisted leggings that have also been compared to Lululemon A LOT, like over-600-reviewers lot. They're buttery soft, pass the squat test, and have the perfect stretch-to-hug ratio. Eos' Shea Butter Vanilla Cashmere body lotion with a heavenly caramel-vanilla smell that could compete with anything from Bath and Body Works or Philosophy. The fast-absorbing shea butter and oil offer a lovely amount of moisture, so you can feel like a freshly baked cake as you walk out the door. A pair of stylish teardrop earrings not unlike the popular Bottega Veneta ones, but for a fraction of the price. They're lightweight and gold-plated, meaning that even those with sensitive ears can enjoy them. A pair of wireless over-the-ear headphones just as cute and functional as AirPods Max, but at a price point so low, it'll seem like a clerical error. Despite the tiny price tag, they still boast cushion padding, a built-in mic, 10 hours of playtime per charge, and noise-cancelling capability. A pair of retro-style oval sunglasses so similar to Miu Miu, you could possibly trick friends into thinking you splurged on a $489 pair. Just be sure to correct them before they expect you to pay for lunch.

This soap is made with aloe vera, glycerin, and olive oil, so your hands will feel fancy either way. Promising review: "I love this soap so much. It's such a good Loewe alternative and for a fraction of the price. I have three bottles and only managed to get through one this summer, so I am pumped to have two more bottles next summer!" — Jesse C Get it from Amazon for $4.83 (also available in daisy and fresh cut grass). 2. Amazon Reviewers note that these are *mostly* leakproof, but don't store liquid in them. Winrock is a small kitchen brand. Promising review: "I'm obsessed with these silicone bags. For years, I've wanted to switch from plastic to silicone, but they were all too expensive. A few weeks ago, I stumbled on these bags. I bought these bags and since then, I haven't stopped singing their praises. Prepare to toss out most of your existing food storage items. And prepare your friends to become bored by your endless rants about your new silicone storage bags. :-)" — S. Citron Get them from Amazon for $9.79+ (available in three set sizes). 3. Amazon Promising review: "When I tell you the moment I smelled this perfume I was enticed by it, I truly mean it. I have been looking for a sweet, creamy scent to wear lately, and THIS is it. The smell is so sweet and creamy and suprisingly STRONG. I love projection in perfumes and this one suprised me with just how MUCH I can smell this. THIS SUCKER stays for HOURS. My mother and I love this scent; I am very pleased with it and how it sits on my skin. I hope they start selling this in even bigger bottles because this might just be my signature perfume to wear." — Lindsey Get it from Amazon for $25. 4. Pistaché Skincare is a small business that sells pistachio-scented skincare. Promising review: "Heavenly. That's the best one-word description for this body butter. It's thick on your fingers and smooth on your skin. It absorbs without leaving you feeling greasy or oily. And the smell is absolutely incredible. So far, I've paired it with SDJ Cheirosa 62 and Kayali Yum Pistachio. If you're a fan of pistachio scents, this is a MUST-have." — Jessi Get it from Amazon for $28. 5. A set of wrist and ankle weights to add some resistance to your workout or brisk walk around the neighborhood. They're arguably just as cute as Bala Bangles, but without the eye-watering price tag. The weights are covered with a sweatproof, skin-friendly silicone layer that's comfortable, and the adjustable elastic band helps you get the right fit. You can even remove weights as well if needed! Promising review: "I love these! So great for yoga or mat Pilates. I like that they are 2 pounds each, which is the perfect weight, and you can even take off weight as well. I use them every week for my workouts. Very durable band as well!" — Robyn Get a pair from Amazon for $24.09+ (available in two sizes and 14 colors). 6. A spandex-blend slip maxi dress that's the closest you can get to wearing a nightgown outside while still looking ready for date night. Reviewers say that this fabric is not only comparable to a certain Skims dress, it might actually be even better. Reviewers agree that if you want it fitted, size down. Promising reviews: "I saw this girl wearing this exact style of dress with a Skims tag on the back, and honestly, it made me so grateful that I purchased this dress instead. It looks exactly like the Skims version, and I could be biased, but the material of this dress looked better than the Skims one. If you want it to be a little snug, I would definitely recommend sizing down one size from your normal size. So freaking comfortable and made out of thick material." — Kaitlyn "I have the Skims dress in black and wanted to look for a cheaper version, but I read reviews, and some said that it is a bit looser than expected. I would agree that the small is a bit loose. If you want a snatched look, definitely get a size smaller, as it is very stretchy. I'm 5' tall so this is a bit long on me, even when I wear heels. In comparison to the Skims, the material is smoother, while Skims has a ribbed texture. You honestly can't tell the difference. Good bang for your buck if you ask me!" — Amazon Customer Get it from Amazon for $24.99 (available in women's sizes XXS–XL and seven colors). 7. And a long-sleeve bodysuit offering the same buttery softness as the beloved Skims version. The fashion line is called Smoke Cloud because the fabric can stretch to twice its size and mold to your curves. Reviewers say it even washes well! Promising review: "Are you kidding me? This is the softest, most comfortable body suit I've ever owned. I got so many compliments lol; everyone did think they were Skims lol, but it's definitely worth every penny. I love and will be getting more colors!!! You need it." — Wendy L. Get it from Amazon for $28.99 (available in women's sizes XS–3X and 15 colors). And check out all the styles available in the Smoke Cloud fabric here. 8. Catrice "Instant Awake" Under Eye Brightener to expertly conceal and brighten dark circles under your eyes just as well as the $33 Becca version. The lightweight, color-adapting formula is designed to blend seamlessly — check the drastic difference in the review photo! The color-adaptive formula is designed so one of the four shades will work on any skin tone. Promising review: "Took years off my eyes! This product is so reasonably priced. I came across a TikTok promoting this and decided to take a chance since the price was super reasonable. My eyes looked brighter in a good way, and the concealer worked so well that I felt I looked younger. I got compliments from friends asking what I did differently with my makeup. I recommend it." — Monica T. Get it from Amazon for $6 (available in four shades). 9. If you're wondering what oud is, think of the smell of fallen trees in the woods after a hard rain. Lulu Candles is a US-based small business that specializes in scented candles and perfumes. Promising review: "I was staying over at a friend's house and sitting next to her coffee table. She had this candle on the table and even though it wasn't lit I could smell it, and it was so delicious that I instantly went online to find it and bought it for myself! If this came in a perfume I would buy enough to last the rest of my life. I don't know how to even explain the scent but if you are an amber/patchouli/vanilla fan, this is absolutely for you. The jasmine adds an unbelievable freshness without a flowery scent. I even bought the shampoo and conditioner which I will probably use as more of a body wash and shaving cream but that is how desperate I am to get this scent on me!" — Melissa I. Get it from Amazon for $19.95+ (available in seven sizes, in gift box options, in packs of two, and in a variety of scents). 10. Promising review: "I'm obsessed with this pan. I previously owned an Always Pan which retails for $150 and this pan is way better! The Always Pan didn't last at all and I've been using this one daily and it's still just as nonstick as when I bought it. I also love that it's lightweight compared to other pans I've used. The colors are so pretty, too! I'm buying a second one for my RV :)." — Donna Irene Get it from Amazon for $49.99 (available in five colors and also a pot version). 11. A Baccarat Rouge 540-inspired moisturizing body wash offering an affordable solution to your dependence on that beloved (but pricey) fragrance. Thanks to the notes of white jasmine, red currant, and sweet amber, shower time has never smelled better. BuzzFeed Shopping writer Emma Lord loves this body lotion: "I bought this after being peer-pressured by all the lovely reviews and I'm happy to report it lives up to the hype. The scent is lovely — it has depth with a hint of floral, but it's light and not at all overpowering. My favorite thing about it is how easily it pairs other scents, because I am a body mist gremlin who swaps out her scents every day. The lather is also deeply satisfying, and I feel quite refreshed and squeaky clean without ever feeling dry." Promising review:"Cremo's body wash is nothing short of exceptional. If you're a fan of luxurious fragrances, this product will quickly become your new favorite. It boasts an incredible scent that perfectly mimics Baccarat Rouge 540 — a fragrance renowned for its sophisticated and captivating aroma. What sets this body wash apart is not just its stunning scent but also its longevity. The fragrance lingers beautifully throughout the day, ensuring you stay enveloped in that luxurious aroma long after your shower." — Ralph D. Thompson II Get it from Amazon for $9.99 (also available in two other scents). 12. BuzzFeed Shopping editor Jenae Sitzes says, "I finally decided to hop on board the hype train for these big tumblers and am already obsessed with my Simple Modern one! The fact that this has both a straw and a handle means I end up carrying it around with me and drinking WAY more water than I did before. BTW! I highly recommend getting straw covers to protect against dust and germs; I got cute cloud ones (like these), and they work perfectly!" Promising review: "If you have been wanting a Stanley cup, believe me, save yourself some money and get this cup! You will end up with a better cup than the Stanley! I have dropped/tipped over this cup a couple of times and only a couple of drops of water come out. If I did that to my Stanley, water got everywhere! And this cup keeps the water so cold. And if you purchase silicone straw toppers, it keeps the water even colder! Also, it fits in my car cup holder, and my Stanley really didn't. Love this cup!" — Amazon Customer Get it from Amazon for $26.99+ (available in two sizes and 28 colors). Also available in a style without the handle! 13. A viral "Soft" perfume rollerball for anyone who wants people to think of them and think "yum." Reviewers compare this ~$7 fragrance to caramel, lemon cupcakes, warm vanilla scones, cotton candy, and this $65 bottle of Pink Sugar! Promising review: "Like so many, I found this scent on TikTok. I was a bit skeptical at first but finally got around to trying it. First off, this scent smells amazing! Almost every time I've worn it, I receive compliments. It has a sweet smell, almost like warm cake or sugar cookies with a hint of lemon. With such an affordable price, I would definitely recommend this to anyone curious about trying it." — Chrissy Get it from Amazon for $7.39 (also available in a chocolatey scent). 14. Jerome Alexander is a small business that specializes in airbrush cosmetic products. BuzzFeed writer Emma Lord says, " HELLO — I found this through a recommendation on a Reddit beauty forum for people in their thirties, and I am OBSESSED. I am not very skilled with makeup and was intimidated by the brush factor, but it's nearly foolproof. This foundation straight-up glosses over my pores and redness and makes my skin look so even-toned and natural that it doesn't look like I used much foundation at all. It's a bit pricey compared to brands I used in the past, but I'm still on my first bottle of it, and it's been three full months. I hope this never stops getting made. It is so lightweight and lovely and has made my makeup routine feel like a TREAT." Promising review: "Bought this because I saw it on TikTok, and it did not disappoint. I love the lightweight feel of it and how easy it is to build." — Smickens Get it from Amazon for $19.99 (available in 12 shades). 15. A classic bubbly paperclip chain that could easily be mistaken for a Tiffany HardWear necklace. The 14-karat gold-plated piece is so convincing, your friends might start expecting you to pick up the check at dinner. Amazon Promising review: "Feels like good quality and the real thing. I recommend giving it a try if you're a fan of the Tiffany hardware collection." — Christina Get it from Amazon for $20.99 (available in two finishes and also Cuban link styles). 16. Promising reviews: "I researched a lot before choosing this Dutch oven. I wasn't sure that this brand would be of high quality because the price is so much lower than the famous Le Creuset and others. This Overmont product is stylish and big enough to hold a whole chicken or probably roast. On first cooking, we did jerk beef ribs and were pleased with the result. Heat distribution is excellent, and it's easy to clean with hot, soapy water." — NJM "I bought this specifically for baking bread. Everyone was suggesting I buy the Le Creuset brand, but I'm new to the task, so I didn't want to spend an exorbitant amount. I could not be happier with my purchase. I've preheated both the pot and lid for an hour, as the recipes have said, and it works beautifully. It bakes fresh sourdough and yeast bread, yielding really beautiful brown crusts and even cooking throughout. I use parchment to line the pot for cooking, so clean-up is a breeze. 5 stars!" — Iris C. Wilson Get a 5.5-quart pot from Amazon for $59.99 (available in three sizes and eight colors). 17. A soft two-piece pajama set featuring a fun pattern giving strong Mindy Lahiri vibes. Channel your inner maximalist and wear cute pajamas instead of a giant old tee — it'll make your mornings feel fancier. Oh, and reviewers compare these to the $128 Roller Rabbit version. Promising reviews: " So cute and comfy. I was surprised at the excellent quality. The weight is just perfect from spring until fall. I'm naturally normally cold all of the time and it's been chilly in Texas the last couple of weeks and these are fine. So comfortable, I feel like I sleep better." — H Mclemurry "I got these for my daughter because her big sister splurged and got her a pair of Roller Rabbit PJs for Christmas, so I decided why not since they're a fraction of the price. My daughter loves them. She said they feel just like the real ones." — Jacinda T. Get it from Amazon for $24.99 (available in women's sizes XXS–XXL and 36 patterns). 18. A versatile nylon bag that's the spitting image of Longchamp's ultra-classic Le Pliage bag. Like the original, this waterproof tote is perfect for travel or people who just like to bring everything but the kitchen sink with them on errands. UNLIKE the original, you won't feel bad when you put it through the ringer every day (coffee spills, filling it with croissant crumbs, using it to stop an elevator door from closing, etc). Promising review: "I bought this for a trip to Italy and used it the entire three weeks. Perfect!!! It's waterproof and large enough, has pockets where you need them, and even a place to attach keys. The handles are long enough that it's comfortable over your shoulder! Some are too small. It zips for security! Stylish! Can't say enough good things about this bag!!" — EWC Get it from Amazon for $26.99 (available in four colors). 19. E.l.f.'s Hydrating Core Lip Shine in the "Ecstatic" shade, which reviewers say works as a very good, affordable replacement for Clinique's " Black Honey," the $25 "universal shade" that has a Shakira-level of fame and adoration. This $7 alternative is nonsticky, moisturizes with vitamin E, and melts onto your lips like buttah. Promising review: "I absolutely love this product. The dark color is perfectly sheer. It also adds the most beautiful color to your lips. I am a Clinique Black Honey lip fan, and this gives me the same look for a fraction of the cost. I love it and have several that I keep in various spots. Not sticky either, which is my biggest gripe about lip glosses. My hair doesn't get stuck in this like some glosses, but I get the shine." — Hamps5 Get it from Amazon for $7 (also available in four other shades). 20. Check out a TikTok of the E.l.f. tubing mascara in action. BuzzFeed writer Emma Lord loves this mascara and says: "I am not a new human to the tubing mascara game, and in fact readily spent $26 on the famous OG blend from Blinc every time it needed replacing. I didn't even love it for the length half as much as the fact that tubing mascara like this genuinely never smudges, but can I just say — regardless of price, the E.l.f. tubing mascara formula blows all the others I've tried out of the water. It gives me way more length and volume than other brands, slides on so much more easily, stays put ALL day, and never, ever smudges. My favorite part, though, is how gently and easily it comes off with soap and water. In the past, other mascara removals have felt rough on my lashes, but this comes off so fast that I'm like ??? was I even wearing mascara a minute ago?? Anyway, I hesitate even writing this review because I want to gatekeep the hell out of this before it sells out, but the world needed to know. I'm a big fan of the brown shade (which is what I'm wearing above!), but it also comes in black and soft black." Promising review: "I absolutely love this! I think it's better (and way more affordable) than the Tarte version I was using! Made the switch immediately and never looking back." — ALETHA Get it from Amazon for $7 (available in three shades). 21. Polarized sunglasses for people who know they can't be trusted with high-end pairs. These look a lot like Ray-Bans *and* they come in a three-pack, so losing a pair at the park won't be a world-ending event. Promising review:"I've been buying these for years. They replaced my Ray-Bans that look identical! Fit great and with the price point, I don't have to worry too much with my kids and being on the go!" — Jessica M Get a pack of three from Amazon for $15.99+ (available in 16 sets, as well as two-packs and individual pairs). 22. A trio of hydrating lip sleeping masks offering a Laneige -like experience for just a fraction of the price. The berry extract and vitamin C work to moisturize lips as you go to bed, proving that beauty sleep is a real thing. For reference, the Laneige lip mask contains 20 grams of product, while each of these has 5 grams, or 15 grams, for the entire set. So even with product sizes taken into account, these are a much better deal. Promising review: "[Alternative] for the Laneige lip mask. This is the most moisturizing lip treatment on the market. When my lips started getting dry due to the cold season, I was thinking of buying the Laneige lip mask, but it's soooo expensive. This is a fraction of the cost and feels just the same. Very good product." — Riya Get the set of three from Amazon for $9.90 (available in four scents and variety packs). 23. Breathable, pointed-toe flats similar to classic Rothy's with stretchy knit uppers that'll have you tap dancing with glee when you try them on. When your dancing shoes start to get dingy, just toss 'em in the wash. Promising reviews: "I have several pair of Rothy's in a very similar style to these, and they are actually just as comfortable right out of the box as Rothy's…maybe more so. I also purchased in black. LOVE THEM!!" — Amazon Customer "Wore these in Las Vegas, and they were perfect for a nighttime walk to a show. They are SO comfortable and breathable, and my poor footsies are ruined from wearing heels every day when I was younger. These look fabulous and feel great. What a great find! I'm gonna have to buy them in another color now." — JeGo Get it from Amazon for $28.04 (available in women's sizes 6–10 and 14 colors and patterns). 24. A trendy bamboo-style frame you might have thought came from Framebridge or Aerin, but nope! Amazon. This affordable frame will help you score beach house or tiki vibes even if you're in a 1BR in a landlocked state. Promising review: "I absolutely love this frame. I had been looking for one like this bamboo style, but most of them were so expensive. This company is affordable, quality, and well packaged. Looks great with my print!" — LoveCuban73 Get it from Amazon for $24.99+ (available in 10 sizes and two colors). 25. A midi corset dress if you love the House of CB Carmen dress but not the price. ($225?!) You can still enjoy a cinched back, front tie, and all the compliments of the real deal. Check it out on TikTok. Promising reviews: "Bought this dress because I always wanted to get the House of CB dress but didn't want to pay over $250 for it. It's honestly so good! I got the size large in this since they didn't have my normal sizes, which are small to medium (I have a bigger chest, so I tend to size up). But since this has a corset back, I was able to cinch it up really tight, and it fit perfectly!" — Chris Herfurth Kennedy "Beautiful, stunning perfection. This may be the best thing I've ever bought on Amazon. The corset in the back makes it fit like it was made for me. It's double-lined and not see-through at all, even though it's white. The straps are adjustable, the slit is a good height, and the fabric is slightly stretchy. I cannot say enough good things about it. It did come slightly wrinkly in the skirt, but nothing that a good steam won't fix." — Shoshanna Get it from Amazon for $53.99 (available in women's sizes 0–14 and 15 colors/styles). 26. A baroque-inspired mirror for anyone who has been eyeing the gorgeous Anthropologie mirrors but can't quite rationalize the hefty price tag. This piece of decor is pretty similar and comes at a fraction of the cost. Promising review: "I hopped on the gold ornate mirror trend and spent a long time trying to find one within my budget. I was worried at first because there weren't any reviews when I first bought this. It looked amazing online and was the perfect size, so I went ahead and got it. I am THRILLED with this purchase!!! One of the best things I've gotten from Amazon. It's beautiful and exactly how it looks in the pics. It came four-ish days faster than estimated. It's perfect for my makeup desk. If there were different sizes of the same mirror, I would buy all of them." — McKinlee Mayer Get it from Amazon for $89.99+ (available in seven sizes and five finishes). 27. A pair of Cushionaire cork-bottom sandals that are not only supremely comfortable but also an affordable alternative to Mayari Birks. The similarities go past just looks: They also have 100% genuine suede soles, so your feet are still treated to the best. Promising review: "I bought these sandals before a three-week trip in Europe; I didn't want to pay for Birks but did want something in a similar style with good arch support. I was a little skeptical about the low price but gave them a they were the MOST comfortable sandals I've ever owned. I walked over 120 miles in them in three weeks on our trip and never once had foot pain. They broke in so quickly and were very supportive from the get-go — and still are! Highly recommend." — Han Lin Get them from Amazon for $20.99+ (available in women's sizes 5–12, including wide sizes, and 21 styles). 28. BuzzFeed Shopping writer Emma Lord says, "I'm a Glossier Cloud Paint stan, so I'll continue to buy it, but I love this affordable alternative, too! It spreads on super easily and can either go on sheer or build for a bolder effect. I got the Rose Flush shade and enjoy it for ~everyday wear~ since it's so easy to squirt a bit on my fingers, swirl it into my cheeks, and be on my merry way. It lasts all day and looks super natural to boot!" Get it from Amazon for $5.98+ (available in six shades). 29. An 18-karat gold-plated cherry keychain because dropping almost $100 on the one from Coach is honestly kind of ridiculous. Reviewers say this one is almost identical! Promising review: "When I initially bought it, I was nervous that the brass color wasn't going to match with my coach bag, but once it arrived, it was perfect; it looks almost like the real one and doesn't feel cheap at all, I'm very happy with my purchase, and I'd 100% recommend this to someone looking for an alternative to the Coach cherry charm!" — Veronica G. Get it from Amazon for $9.99. 30. A super-soft longline sports bra some have compared to Lululemon's Align tank top for an Equinox-level workout look at a Planet Fitness price. Reviewers say it offers a little less compression, so you can wear it on casual days, too. Promising review:"I wasn't seeing many pictures of small-chested ladies, so I was a little worried about how this would fit. Purchased X-Small, and it fits perfectly! The straps stay in place, don't look weird with the bra cups, and it is form-fitting in the back. I hate tank tops that have a big gap in the back. This one does not. It goes down to about my belly button. I wanted something similar to the Lululemon Align, but this is well worth it instead! It is not tight at all, does not dig in, and is super breathable. I am thrilled with this purchase!" — olivia schilling Get it from Amazon for $19.99+ (available in sizes XS–3XL and 24 colors). 31. And high-waisted leggings that have also been compared to Lululemon A LOT, like over-600-reviewers lot. They're buttery soft, pass the squat test, and have the perfect stretch-to-hug ratio. Promising review: "They are the best leggings I've ever owned! I've been weight training for roughly 17 years now, and I've worn a lot of different leggings. I've even spent $180 on a pair of Lululemon leggings, which don't compare to these at all. These leggings are soft, stretchy, form-fitting, and they make you look incredible! This is the fourth pair I've bought, and I probably will buy all colors. Also very important: They don't leave sweat marks. 100% squat-proof and the softest material ever. I can't say it enough!" — Emily Souther Get them from Amazon for $25 (available in women's sizes XS–XL and 25 colors). 32. Promising reviews: "Heaven sent for your skin; heavenly scent to enjoy. This feels absolutely amazing going on. Gets absorbed quickly, for a lotion rich with oil. Doesn't leave a greasy feeling, as long as you give it a minute or two to fully absorb. The scent is, for me anyway, like aromatherapy. It smells like an iced sugar cookie and is a great base layer for fragrance. Very relaxing." — Dragonheart Jo "Better than TikTok said! OMRyan Gosling, this is an amazing lotion!!! Run, don't walk, and buy this lotion! The name is vanilla cashmere and that is exactly what this is! Love love love!" — DeeDra Billings Get it from Amazon for $8.98 (also available in seven other scents) 33. A pair of stylish teardrop earrings not unlike the popular Bottega Veneta ones, but for a fraction of the price. They're lightweight and gold-plated, meaning that even those with sensitive ears can enjoy them. Promising review:"These are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! If I didn't know any better, I would have said these are the Bottega Drop Earrings. I personally love the smaller ones. I have not ordered the larger ones yet. Smaller ones are truthfully the perfect size. We love a good alternative because who has $800+ to spend on the Bottegas." — Brittany Get them from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in 11 colors, two-packs, and an extra large size). 34. Emma Lord/BuzzFeed, iJoy is a small business that specializes in headphones and tech accessories. BuzzFeed writer Emma Lord says, "I own a pair of these, and because I'm vain as heck and need to own all things pink, but I was decently surprised by how well they muffle noise! I feel like these are ideal for people who still want to hear some of the world around them (read: parents, people working in open offices), but still want to listen to their tunes comfortably. The charge on these goes for at least four hours (I haven't tried it beyond that yet), and the Bluetooth connects to my devices super easily. Excellent pair of headphones for the price point." Promising review: "I went from using AirPod Pros to these. They're honestly really good sound quality. I am surprised at how well they sound, considering I do audio engineering. Great replacement for Apple Airpod Maxes!!! Totally worth it — best purchase I've made in a while. PLUS!!! They're so cute on. :)" — Hanna Get it from Amazon for $19.99+ (available in five colors). 35. A pair of retro-style oval sunglasses so similar to Miu Miu, you could possibly trick friends into thinking you splurged on a $489 pair. Just be sure to correct them before they expect you to pay for lunch. They have UV400 protection. Promising review: "I absolutely love these sunglasses! They suit my face beautifully and elevate any look with their stylish design. The gold details on the sides are such a stunning touch — reminiscent of high-end Miu Miu sunglasses but at a fraction of the cost. They're lightweight, comfortable, and feel durable. I've received so many compliments already. Highly recommend these for anyone looking to add a chic accessory to their collection!" — Arsalan sheikh Get it from Amazon for $14.99 (available in five styles and two packs). Does your sink reek? Here's how to clean a garbage disposal, according to experts
Garbage disposal cleaning quick picks To stay out of the mess: O-Cedar Playtex Handsaver Gloves A disposal's best friend: Mr. Scrappy Universal Garbage Disposal Brush A convenient pre-portioned cleaner: Arm & Hammer Garbage Disposal Cleaner An odor-buster that works overnight: Mrs. Meyer's Lavender Probiotic Drain Maintenance Learning to clean a garbage disposal was a rite of passage for me. I graduated high school, moved away from home and was suddenly faced with this grimy, potentially dangerous kitchen appliance at the bottom of my sink. That's not to say I'd never encountered one before (my grandma has one), but I'd never cleaned it myself — or at least not with the proper cleaning products or technique. For years, I poured hot water and dish soap down the sink, thinking that was enough. But after talking to experts for this piece and deep-cleaning the sink, I learned that I hadn't been doing a very good job. Here's how to polish, sanitize and deodorize a garbage disposal correctly. It should be obvious, but a clean, well-maintained garbage disposal will last longer and smell better. Unfortunately, I'm speaking from experience. Since moving into my apartment about two years ago, my housemates and I haven't deep-cleaned the garbage disposal once. (Dudes rock, am I right?) That's partly because we've avoided using it, opting to catch debris with an Oxo sink strainer instead of grinding it up with the disposal. Thanks to our neglect, an unsightly gray slime has taken over the garbage disposal's splash guard. Even if you aren't as negligent as my housemates and I, ask yourself when you last cleaned your garbage disposal. If your answer ranges from a few months ago to never, you're slacking. Rob Garrett, merchant of product development at The Home Depot, said he recommends cleaning your disposal at least once per month, adding that it's crucial to hit the splash guard and sink stopper too. Still, there's no exact timeline, according to Corey Junio, a brand manager at Electrolux, which makes garbage disposals, and it depends on usage, not to mention your tolerance for grime. Cleaning a garbage disposal isn't rocket science. You need some soap, a scrubber and, if you want to get fancy, a few special tools and cleaners. Below, I'll share a couple methods and products I used, plus pro tips from experts. That said, Lisa Muentener, a research chemist at Arm & Hammer, said that you ought to consult your garbage disposal's cleaning instructions first to avoid any mishaps. Step 1: Disconnect your garbage disposal from its power source There's a famous scene in 'Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark' where a plane's propeller collides with one of the villains, and it isn't pretty. You don't want your hand to get anywhere near an active garbage disposal for similar reasons. That's why all the experts I spoke to stressed the importance of disconnecting your garbage disposal before cleaning. You can do that by simply unplugging the disposal or switching off the kitchen breaker. Klein Tools Voltage Tester Pen It may be overkill, but Garrett said you can confirm your disposal is disconnected with a voltage detector like this one. Step 2: Remove debris Next, you'll want to check for any lingering debris, whether that's large food particles or miscellaneous junk. I did this with my iPhone light and a pair of pliers I had lying around, but I'd much rather use a powerful flashlight and extra-long pliers for better reach. Maglite Solitaire Flashlight In our testing, this keychain flashlight was small enough to use one-handed, making it a great choice for maintenance around the our review O-Cedar Playtex Handsaver Gloves Garbage disposals are caked in filth. I'd recommend protecting your hands with a pair of rubber gloves. Stanley 5-Inch Needle-Nose Pliers Any old pliers will do, but these have the advantage of being extra long so you can grab onto things in hard-to-reach places. Step 3: Flush and scrub Now that your garbage disposal is empty, you can get cleaning. Garrett said to start by plugging the sink (I used a bowl) and filling it with hot water. Once the water has filled the sink halfway, reconnect the disposal to the power, unplug the sink and turn the disposal on. Following the flush, disconnect your garbage disposal again and start scrubbing. There are a lot of tools and soaps you can use — many of which are designed for garbage disposals — but Muentener said an old toothbrush works too. Just make sure to hit the flaps, which she said can 'accumulate grime and cause odors if not cleaned regularly.' Mr. Scrappy Universal Garbage Disposal Brush You can scrub your garbage disposal with everyday cleaning products: a sponge, a retired toothbrush, a dish brush or some combo of the three. But I found this thick-bristled disposal brush was worth the cost, especially if you plan on cleaning your sink often. Dawn Radial Head Kitchen Brush The shape of this kitchen brush was well suited to cleaning the flaps, and it's more versatile than the disposal-specific Mr. Scrappy Platinum Liquid Dish Soap I always recommend using whatever you already have, and that goes for soap too. But if you need to restock your dish soap anyway — or want a little more firepower while cleaning — snag a bottle of Dawn Platinum. It's similar to Dawn Ultra but comes with a few more surfactants. Step 4: Clean the impellers with ice You probably think garbage disposals have blades, but they actually use dull lugs called impellers. Cleaning and sharpening them isn't easy since they're at the bottom of the disposal, but Muentener says a mixture of salt and ice can help. 'The ice helps to clean the grinding chamber and sharpen the blades, while the salt acts as an abrasive to dislodge any remaining particles,' she said. Recipes vary, but according to Garrett, a ratio of 2 cups of ice to 1 cup of salt should work. Once you've added those two ingredients, you can run the cold water and turn on the disposal. Be warned: The disposal will make a loud, crunching sound, but it'll dissipate after a few seconds. Morton All-Purpose Salt I only recommend Morton's because it's widely available and cheap, but it doesn't really matter which brand you use. Just don't pour your box of Maldon finishing salts down the drain. Step 5: Deodorize with baking soda and vinegar Remember baking soda and vinegar volcanoes? You can do the same thing (more or less) with your sink to clean out the garbage disposal. Muentener recommended pouring about a quarter cup of baking soda into the disposal, followed by a quarter cup of white vinegar. 'The mixture will fizz and bubble, which will help to dislodge grime and neutralize odors,' she said. You can also use baking soda for minor clogs or slow-moving drains, Muentener said, though for clogs she recommends pouring a pot of boiling water down the sink before adding baking soda and vinegar. Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Baking soda (aka sodium bicarbonate) is the same regardless of brand. Arm & Hammer is the most well known and widely All-Natural Distilled White Vinegar, 3-Pack Ditto for vinegar you're using for cleaning; it doesn't really matter what brand you use. My advice? Find the cheapest bottle (per unit) and buy that one. Arm & Hammer Garbage Disposal Cleaner The beauty of baking soda and vinegar is that they're versatile. One day, you might be using them to flush your disposal; the next, you can use them to clean your oven. But there are also plenty of premixed, disposal-specific cleaners on the market like this one. Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner Glisten's foaming disposal cleaner has the advantage of coming in single-use packets, and the price isn't too bad either. If you're after convenience, consider it. Step 6: Let probiotics work their magic overnight Like your wellness-obsessed friend, your sink needs probiotics too. According to Junio, not only do probiotic disposal cleaners remove odors caused by grease and food remnants but they also continue working long after you first use them. 'Cleaning results improve over time as the probiotic continues to remove food buildup and organic material,' he said. If you're still dealing with odors at this point, you can also use citrus peels in small quantities, Garrett said. I took a peeler to a lemon, threw a few peels down the drain and turned the disposal on. The citrusy smell offers immediate relief. Just be sure you only put tiny citrus peels down there (no full lemons). Mrs. Meyer's Probiotic Drain Maintenance I used Mrs. Meyer's lavender probiotic cleaner (love the smell), pouring half the bottle down the drain and then waiting overnight to let the microscopic enzymes eat away the grime. Frigidaire ReadyClean Probiotic Sink and Disposer Cleaner Frigidaire also sells a universal probiotic cleaner, which comes in convenient single-use packages. The following FAQs have been answered by appliance experts Corey Junio and Rob Garrett. How do you keep a garbage disposal working for years? How do you keep a garbage disposal working for years? A garbage disposal is an expensive appliance, especially if you have to replace it every few years. But provided you follow the steps below, they're hardy machines. Use it frequently: It sounds counterintuitive, but Garrett and Junio said that using a garbage disposal often will extend its life. 'Letting it sit idle for long periods can cause corrosion or jamming,' Junio said. Always use cold water: Garrett said that cold water is best while running the disposal, as it 'helps solidify grease and wash it down the drain properly.' Grind in moderation: Grind only one cup of food at a time, Garrett said. Clean and deodorize monthly: If you don't want your disposal to smell like a landfill, clean and deodorize it regularly. Citrus peels are fine in small quantities, Garrett said, but disposal-specific cleaning pods are a safer option. Replace worn parts: Finally, Garett recommended replacing parts like splash guards and stoppers when they're worn out. What should you avoid throwing down your garbage disposal? What should you avoid throwing down your garbage disposal? There's a long list of things you shouldn't put down your disposal, whether because they'll clog your pipes, corrode components or dull the impellers. A few highlights that Junio and Garrett mentioned include the following: Grease, oil and fat, which can clog pipes. Eggshells and coffee grounds, which clump and glom onto other debris. Starchy foods like pasta and rice, as they'll turn into a sludgy, hard-to-clean mess. Large citrus peels, which may dull the disposal's impellers. Harsh, corrosive cleaners and chemicals, including those that contain bleach, sulfuric acid or sodium hydroxide. How do you unclog a garbage disposal? How do you unclog a garbage disposal? Whatever you do, don't rummage around in the disposal with your hand, Junio said. Instead, Garrett recommends unplugging the disposal and switching power off at the circuit breaker before manually rotating the impellers with a compatible hex key or unjamming tool. You'll also want to remove obstructions, using a flashlight and long-nose pliers to fish out debris, he added. If you can't see any obvious jams, try flushing the disposal with boiling water (for grease). You can also try adding a half a cup of baking soda and a cup of vinegar, waiting 10 minutes and then flushing with hot water. Plungers can work too, especially if they're fitted to sink drains. After you're finished, Garrett said the next step is resetting and testing the disposal. If all else fails, call a certified technician. 18 products professional housekeepers rely on for a spotless home
Expert-approved cleaning products quick picks For a streak-free shine: Microfiber Wholesale Microfiber Glass Cleaning Cloths, 8-Pack For tough messes that chemicals can't fix: Pumie Scouring Stick, 2-Pack For tackling grease buildup in the kitchen: Citra Solv Concentrated Cleaner & Degreaser For mopping hard floors: O-Cedar EasyWring Microfiber Spin Mop For vacuuming hard floors: Bissell Zing Bagless Canister Vacuum Sure, many of the trending cleaning products you see all over TikTok really do work, but have you ever wondered what professional housekeepers actually use? As CNN Underscored's home editor, I definitely have. That's why I set out to uncover the essential cleaning tools that pro cleaners recommend, from basics like vacuums and all-purpose cleaners to specialty products with surprising uses. 'A little secret that many professional cleaners don't want to tell you is that nothing we buy is exclusive to professional cleaning companies,' Chris Willatt, founder of Alpine Maids, said. 'You can easily purchase everything we buy to clean your own home. I would prefer if you hired me to clean your house, but you don't have to pay for professional cleaning services to get professional products.' Keep reading to discover the secret weapons that housekeepers and cleaning experts rely on for their toughest messes. Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner in Lilac Turns out Mrs. Meyer's products are loved by CNN Underscored editors and cleaning experts alike. "Mrs. Meyer's Multi-Surface Cleaner is the perfect everyday cleaner because it is tough on grime but gentle on surfaces," Willatt said. "It works on everything from appliances and counters made of wood to stone." He also appreciates the scent (there are tons of options!) and that even though it's made from plant-derived ingredients, it works well. Microfiber Wholesale Microfiber Glass Cleaning Cloths, 8-Pack When you ask a cleaning expert for their favorite products, chances are very high that they'll recommend microfiber cloths. "Leaving no lint and no streaks on glass is a must when cleaning homes and is one of the biggest call-backs a cleaning company can get when a cleaner is not paying attention or using the wrong products," Jen and Brian Boyle, members of the Thumbtack Pro Advisory Board and owners of MaidThis Cleaning, said, suggesting this eight-pack from Microfiber Wholesale. "The glass cleaning cloths can also be used on stainless steel in the kitchen to restore the shine after the surface has been cleaned." Tide Powder Laundry Detergent While it's great for laundry, powdered Tide also has plenty of other uses. Sarah McAllister, founder and CEO of GoCleanCo and House Work, said it's her "go-to for pretty much everything" and that "a little bit goes a long way." "It works great on walls, floors, sinks, cabinets, grout, window screens and even toilets," McAllister said. "Need to disinfect? Just add 1/3 cup of bleach. You can even make a paste with water to get rid of stains." Pumie Scouring Stick, 2-Pack You might think pumice stones are solely used for exfoliating your skin, but they're actually quite handy for cleaning too. "These versatile tools can be used to scrub hard water stains and buildup in toilets and baths, as well as the inside of ovens, griddle surfaces and outdoor grills," the Boyles said. "Saving time and energy while cleaning can really add up, and these stones help with that." Since pumice stones are abrasive, make sure you thoroughly read the instructions and avoid delicate surfaces to prevent scratches. You might also notice a gritty residue after cleaning, but that's normal. "We recommend using a cleaning product and a microfiber towel to wipe down the surface after scrubbing to remove any remaining residue and ensure a clean finish," the Boyles said. O-Cedar EasyWring Microfiber Spin Mop O-Cedar's spin mops are among the best of the best, so it makes sense that multiple experts recommended them. "I use this spin mop with my Tide recipe on all types of flooring — hardwood, tile, linoleum, LVP, you name it," McAllister said. "Press the pedal about eight times to get the moisture out until it is just barely damp, then get scrubbing. It's so easy, kids love to help with this chore!"Read our review Zep Hardwood and Laminate Floor Cleaner If you have laminate or hardwood floors, this one is for you. "Zep is my favorite hardwood floor cleaner," Willatt said. "It smells great, does not leave residue and, best of all, it does not leave unsightly streaks like you see in most floor cleaners." You can even use this solution in refillable spray mops. OdoBan Odor Eliminator and Disinfectant Concentrate Some surfaces are just so gross and stinky that they need to be thoroughly disinfected. That's where this concentrated cleaner comes in. "You can use this to clean and disinfect countertops, freshen up upholstery, mop sealed floors, [clean] your stainless steel appliances or even in the shower post-cleaning to prevent the future growth of mold," Carly Castro, TikTok cleaning expert and founder of Clean With Carly, said. Citra Solv Concentrated Cleaner & Degreaser Not sure how to tackle those stubborn greasy messes in the kitchen? Consider Citra Solv. "As the name suggests, it is a citrus-based cleaner that breaks down any tough grease buildup," Willatt said. "It is a biodegradable cleaner that does not use hard chemicals." Just keep in mind that since Citra Solv is a concentrated product, you're supposed to dilute it with water first. Bar Keepers Friend Powdered Cleanser, 2-Pack Bar Keepers Friend makes powdered and soft cleansers, both of which were recommended by a few of the cleaning pros I interviewed for this story. It's also one of my favorite cleaning products! "We use the powdered version of this cleanser to deal with our toughest stains," Willatt said. The Boyles rely on it too. "From cleaning cookware with burnt-on grease and food to stainless steel oven racks and sinks, the cleanser does the job," they added. Read our review Rinseroo Jumbo Shower Hose With Spout Maybe you've seen this shower hose on your TikTok feed or on a recent episode of "Shark Tank," but either way, Castro confirmed it is worth the hype. "The Rinseroo makes rinsing your shower (or pet) a breeze," she said. It's especially useful for renters who aren't allowed to change out their shower head for a handheld version. Homax Super-Fine Grit Steel Wool, 12-Pack Steel wool is nothing new, but maybe you never realized how much you could actually use it around the house. Castro recommends steel wool 0000, which is the finest grade available. "It's extremely different from the coarse type found in most supermarkets," she said. "I know it can seem intimidating, but steel wool 0000 works amazing for removing burnt-on foods during oven cleanings or even for removing the most stubborn stains on delicate surfaces like glass. When you feel like you've tried every cleaning tool and nothing is working, reach for this." Bissell Zing Bagless Canister Vacuum McAllister reaches for the Bissell Zing, a bagless canister vacuum, to clean hard floors before and after mopping them. "This vacuum has 10/10 suction, is lightweight and portable, and cost-effective," she said. "This vacuum is not for carpets, however, as you need a carpet vacuum with a beater bar for that." Windex Glass and Window Cleaner Windex is a household name for a reason. It's obviously an essential for cleaning windows, but it can also be used for so many more cleaning tasks. "After you've cleaned your sinks, toilets, light fixtures and other surfaces, give them a quick polish with Windex for that extra sparkle," McAllister said. Sprayway Foaming Action Glass Cleaner But maybe you want an alternative to Windex, particularly if you're looking for an ammonia-free product that's safer around pets. If so, Sprayway's foaming glass cleaner might be your best choice. "We have tried many other glass cleaning products, and nothing else compares — others either don't work or leave streaks," the Boyles said. Dawn Platinum Liquid Dish Soap Dish soap can be used for so many things around the home besides just doing dishes. Dawn — especially Dawn Platinum — comes highly recommended by the experts we spoke with. "Platinum is a thicker soap that breaks down grease easier while remaining gentle enough to be used on most surfaces," the Boyles said. "It also dries clear, so it can be used on a wet microfiber towel to clean and degrease microwave ovens, the fronts of stainless steel kitchen appliances — including refrigerators and ovens — and shower glass doors, along with tackling dirty dishes." Just be careful to avoid too much sudsing, which can leave behind some residue, they warn. Cif Lemon Cream Cif Cream is similar in theory to cleaning products like The Pink Stuff and Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser, but it's more delicate on surfaces and not acidic. "This cream cleanser has millions of cleaning crystals that break down grime, soap scum and even stains," Castro said. "It's actually my go-to for hard water marks on glass shower doors!" Cif Cream is often sold in sets with Scrub Daddy sponges. Orange Glo Wood Furniture 2-in-1 Clean Polish Spray As the label implies, Orange Glo is a great choice for cleaning and polishing wood — but there's another under-the-radar use worth considering it for. "This is actually my secret weapon for stainless steel," Castro said. "If you struggle with streaks when polishing stainless steel, you need this product! The fact that it has an incredible orange scent is an [added] bonus." Mr. Clean Summer Citrus Multi-Surface Liquid Cleaner McAllister is a big fan of Mr. Clean's Summer Citrus cleaning solution. "Especially in a kitchen, you need a degreasing product in order to cut the grease and get that kitchen clean, she said. "I use this on various surfaces like the tops of kitchen cabinets, on backsplashes (not marble, though), kitchen light fixtures, blinds and hood vent screens. Mr. Clean can sometimes streak, so be sure to wipe your surface with a clean, damp cloth after cleaning to rinse." For this article, we consulted the following experts to gain their professional insights.
