Iran Threatens to Strike Secret Israeli Nuclear Plants
Iran's Supreme National Security Council announced that the Israeli enemy's target bank is on the table of the armed forces, after Tehran revealed it had obtained a large amount of sensitive strategic information and documents related to 'Israel'. The council explained in a statement on Monday that the complex intelligence operation carried out by members of the 'Soldiers of Imam Mahdi' unit represents a major intelligence gain and is part of a quiet and precise strategy pursued by the Iranian state in confronting enemy campaigns. 'This breakthrough comes within the framework of smart planning and quiet procedures and is being complemented on the ground through the armed forces' continuous, day and night, unpretentious struggle with the aim of creating an operational capability which commensurate with the strengths and weaknesses of the Zionist entity and its supporters.' The council explained that access to this data today and the completion of the intelligence and operational cycle have enabled the Mujahideen of Islam to respond immediately to any potential attack by the Zionist entity on Iran's nuclear facilities, by targeting its secret nuclear facilities, and to respond in kind to any sabotage against economic or military infrastructure in a precise and proportionate manner, consistent with the type of attack. Earlier, Iran's Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib unveiled the trove of secret 'Israeli' documents the country has obtained are related to the occupying entity's nuclear facilities and will enhance Iran's offensive capabilities. Separately, Iran received 'elements' of the US proposal last week regarding an agreement on the Islamic Republic's nuclear program, but considered the proposal contains 'many ambiguities' and confirmed that it would soon submit its own proposal for an agreement with Washington.

TTP blames Pakistan Army for deaths of civilians including Masood Azhar's family, issues rare condolence statement
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has issued a rare condolence statement in the wake of the recent Pakistan-India border tensions, blaming the Pakistan Army for the deaths of civilians, including members of the family of Maulana Masood Azhar. In an official note dated May 8, 2025, and signed by TTP spokesperson Muhammad Khorasani, the group expressed 'deep sorrow and grief' over the deaths, referring to the incident as a 'tragic' one in which civilians were 'martyred at various places.' 'According to the authentic information received, the information provided for this attack was from Pakistan's traitorous and pro-Western army, which is nothing new,' the statement read. It accused the army of having 'always dealt with Islamists, scholars and mujahideen' through repression. The TTP further alleged that the Pakistan Army had a long-standing record of targeting its own people and called it a 'murderous group' with hands 'stained with the blood of Afghans, scholars, and Mujahideen of Islam.' 'This is the same army that painted the streets of the country with the blood of the Ulama Haqq, and arrested the Mujahideen and handed them over to the infidels,' the group claimed. The statement extended condolences to the families of the deceased, saying, 'Their pain is our pain.' It called on the people of Pakistan, particularly the Ulama and Islamist community, to reject the 'delusions' of the army. The document notably mentions the family of Masood Azhar, the chief of the proscribed Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) group, claiming they were among those killed. The statement did not directly mention India or the recent Indian strikes but comes in the backdrop of heightened military tensions between India and Pakistan, following Operation Sindoor, during which the Indian armed forces reportedly targeted terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This is one of the rare instances where the TTP has publicly acknowledged civilian deaths and blamed the Pakistan military during a cross-border escalation.

Al-Qaeda defends Pakistan's terror campaign, parrots Asim Munir's narrative
The statement from AQIS comes after India launched 'Operation Sindoor' against terror camps in Pakistan following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in the deaths of 26 mostly Hindu tourists read more In line with Pakistan's inflammatory religious rhetoric, Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) on Wednesday (May 7) issued a statement condemning Operation Sindoor and called for a renewed jihad across the subcontinent. The terrorist group also called on the Muslims of the subcontinent to 'rise up in support of oppressed people'. It alleged that the 'Bhagwa' government of PM Narendra Modi was 'waging a multifaceted campaign to eliminate Islam.' 'For all the Mujahideen of Islam and the Muslims of the Subcontinent, this war against India is Jihad Fi Sabilillah. It is a duty upon us to engage in this struggle to raise the Word of Allah, defend Islam and Muslims, and support the oppressed people of The Subcontinent…. It is now more necessary than ever for the Muslims of the Subcontinent to rise up in support of these stances and objectives,' the AQIS said in a statement. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The statement comes after India launched 'Operation Sindoor' against terror camps in Pakistan following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in the deaths of 26 mostly Hindu tourists. This operation, named 'Operation Sindoor,' targeted and successfully destroyed nine terrorist camps. Reports indicate that over 100 trained terrorists were killed, significantly disrupting the core of the jihadist networks that are supported by Pakistan. Among the sites targeted was Markaz Taiba, often described as the ideological and operational nerve centre of Lashkar-e-Taiba. The facility was also partly funded by Osama bin Laden, who reportedly donated Rs 10 million to build a mosque and guest house within the complex. Inflammatory rhetoric aligns with Pakistan state's narrative The inflammatory rhetoric pushed by the AQIS aligns with Pakistan's official narrative against India, often targeting Hindus and their tradition. Engulfed in a military crisis with India, an isolated Pakistan is now relying on religious rhetoric to gather support domestically as well as among the Islamic world. Ahead of the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir had fuelled the debate around the two-nation theory in a speech. In his speech, Munir stated that Pakistanis are 'fundamentally different from Hindus in religion, culture, traditions, thoughts, and ambitions.' 'You have to narrate Pakistan's story to your children so that they don't forget it when our forefathers thought we were different from Hindus in every possible aspect of life,' Munir said. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Not just the army chief but a similar rhetoric has also been fuelled by Pakistani politicians. Recently, Pakistani Senator Palwasha Mohammad Zai Khan declared the 'first brick of the new mosque' in Ayodhya 'will be laid by Pakistani soldiers'. Ayodhya is where India inaugurated a grand Ram temple last year. 'The first brick of the new Babri mosque in Ayodhya will be laid by Pakistan Army soldiers, and the first azaan will be given by Army Chief Asim Munir himself,' said the senator. Her comments drew a massive backlash from users on social media.
