Dubai Safari Park Achieves Record-Breaking Season with Surge in Visitors and Conservation Milestones

Dubai Safari Park has wrapped up its most successful season to date, drawing record crowds and making major strides in conservation, education, and community engagement. The popular wildlife destination officially closed for its annual summer break on 1 June after an eight-month run that saw a 16% increase in visitor numbers year-on-year. With over 52,700 safari tours conducted and hundreds of thousands of guests passing through its gates, the park reported unprecedented demand, especially during peak periods. The Eid Al Etihad weekend alone brought in over 43,000 visitors. New experiences like the Night Safari attracted 17,000 attendees in a single month, while standout shows such as 'Echoes of the Wild' drew more than 80,000 spectators. Season 6 also deepened community ties with initiatives like the Baby Rhino Naming Campaign, which engaged over 13,000 participants in selecting the name 'Onyx' for the park's newborn rhino—symbolizing public support for endangered species. On the educational front, nearly 45,000 students visited the park under the theme 'Conservation of the Planet,' with themed activities and school competitions encouraging environmental innovation. Dubai Safari Park also contributed to global wildlife knowledge with four published research papers and recorded 162 animal births, including 17 from critically endangered species. Muna Alhajeri, Director of Dubai Safari Park, described the season as 'transformative,' citing the park's growing role in conservation, education, and scientific research. The park is set to reopen on 14 October 2025, promising refreshed attractions while continuing its mission to protect wildlife and inspire future generations. News Source: Dubai Media Office
