Deliver all government services through the Mana Mitra WhatsApp platform, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister directs officials
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu told the officials to gear up to deliver all government services through the Mana Mitra WhatsApp platform and stressed the need to spread awareness about it so that people would be able to derive maximum benefit out of it.
Reviewing the operations of the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) on Monday, Mr. Naidu ordered that the formation of the proposed data lake be expedited and to utilise drones to provide better services to the citizens. He said the use cases of drones should be explained to the people and necessary steps be taken to enable them to access those services, and advised the Municipal Administration & Urban Development and Health Departments to use the drones in curbing the mosquito menace.
Work-from-home programme
Mr. Naidu called for rapid implementation of the work-from-home programme and wanted a study to be done on how many jobs could be created in the next three years and the skills required. RTGS Secretary Bhaskar Katamneni said that the data lake work was almost complete and as on date, 273 services were being rendered through WhatsApp Governance, and by June 12, the number would cross 370.
AI-based IVRS system
The dissemination of weather updates from the RTGS was being improved and an AI-based IVRS system would soon be used for sending lightning alerts to citizens' mobile phones at least an hour in advance.
Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand, CM's Secretaries Muddada Ravichandra and P.S. Pradyumna, Information & Public Relations Department Director Himanshu Shukla, Revenue Secretary Prabhakar Reddy, RTGS CEO Prakhar Jain and Deputy CEO M. Madhuri were present.
