Dr. al-Barash: 92% of children, nursing mothers in Gaza suffer from malnutrition

Gaza - Saba: Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza Dr. Munir al-Barash revealed on Thursday that approximately 91 percent of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are facing a food crisis two months after the Zionist enemy closed the crossings. Al-Barash said in press statements: "92 percent of children and nursing mothers in Gaza suffer from severe malnutrition due to the Zionist blockade, which poses a direct threat to their lives and development." He added: "65 percent of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip do not have access to clean drinking water due to the ongoing Zionist genocide." Al-Barash called on the United Nations to issue an official declaration of famine in Gaza, given that field indicators and medical and humanitarian data confirm that international conditions for this have been met.
