A Burger King diner complained that her meal was not up to par and was offended by a replacement from staff.
Stomper Zhang ordered a Mushroom Swiss Croissan'wich at an outlet in Burlington Square.
"The taste was weird, sour, slimy and sticky," Zhang described.
"The staff said that it is supposed to be like this, and she replaced it with a new one and threw the tray on the table, though we were not even asking for the replacement."
A Burger King spokesperson told Stomp on May 16: "Prior to Stomp's query, our operations team did share with us the customer feedback.
"We sincerely appreciate all feedback, as it helps us improve the dining experience for our guests.
"Our mushroom sauce has a naturally creamy texture and when combined with melted cheese and served in a toasted croissant, it creates a thicker consistency.
"After receiving the customer's feedback, our staff promptly offered a replacement burger and placed the tray with the new burger on their table.
"We appreciate the feedback and remain committed to maintaining a positive dining experience for all guests."
Perhaps Zhang was lucky to even receive a replacement.
