Mayday call prompts water search near Muskegon
MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — Rescuers are working on a water emergency after a mayday call was issued over marine radio Saturday near Muskegon.
Around 2:40 p.m., the Muskegon Professional Firefighters union posted on Facebook that Muskegon firefighters and fire crews with North Muskegon and Muskegon Township are working on water emergency and are trying to figure out where it is happening.
'Caller could not provide a location, but GPS indicated possibly near Bear Lake channel,' the said.
The U.S. Coast Guard in Grand Haven has been notified.
