Trump-Musk breakup saga wrecks the MAGA soap opera
The only thing left for Donald Trump and Elon Musk to do after Thursday's bust-up is to pull each other's hair. Short of that, they have ticked every box for a street fight that would make even a toddler the petty, messy, and public breakup, Trump has completed the task of turning the White House into a big, beautiful spectacle. Serves Americans right for electing a reality show host to run the Oval Office. And a deserved karmic punch for Musk for bankrolling a President with a history of biting the hand that feeds departure from the Trump administration a week ago signalled the end of their bromance. But nobody expected them to bicker in public like two bitter exes ready to spill bedroom secrets. Unfortunately, like in all relationships, size matters, and the ego of the two was too big. One loved to blow his own Trumpet, the other considered himself a Musketeer. A medieval-era duel was loading.A bromance turns ugly The feud, like a melodramatic script about a public breakup, is a voyeur's dream. On May 30, 2025, Musk abruptly resigned from the Trump administration, where he was heading the Department of Government Efficiency (DoGE), tasked with streamlining federal operations.A day later, Musk appeared at the Oval Office with a black eye for a mushy farewell. With slobbering tributes to each other, the two appeared to have made up, pending a kiss. On June 3, Musk fired a fresh salvo, calling Trump's big beautiful bill a pork-filled disaster. 'I'm sorry, but I just can't stand it anymore,' he posted, calling the bill a disgusting abomination. The next day, he asked his 220 million followers on X to kill the bill, and unfollowed key Trump aides. But the jilted exes were just warming June 5, the fight escalated during Trump's meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Trump, stung by Musk's criticism, said, 'I'm very disappointed in Elon. I've helped him a lot.'In characteristic Trump fashion, he mocked Musk's black eye: 'I said, 'You want a little makeup?' He said, 'No.'' Trump claimed Musk knew the bill's details and is mad about losing EV subsidies. Musk fired back on X in real-time: 'False, this bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night!'After this, it was time to recount favours and spill secrets, a hallmark of all bust-ups between besties. Musk: 'Without me, Trump would have lost the election.' Trump (on Truth Social): 'Elon was 'wearing thin,' I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate and he just went CRAZY!' He threatens to cut Musk's contracts: 'Billions and Billions of Dollars.' Musk: 'Such an obvious lie. So sad.' Drops a bomb: '@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!' Later, he agrees with an X post calling for Trump's impeachment and replacement by JD Vance: 'Yes.' He also floats a new political party: 'Is it time to create a new political party in America that actually represents the 80% in the middle?'Jokers in a circusadvertisementWhile the world noted that the 'girls are fighting' and seized on the drama with a meme fest, shares of Tesla sank 14.3%, wiping off $150-billion of investor wealth. Trump's empire tanked 8%, losing $100 million in comedic circus has several shades of irony. The self-proclaimed best deal-maker in the world couldn't save his alliance with Musk. And the world's smartest entrepreneur invested in a president who is now threatening to take down the Musk is a convicted felon who falsified business records and paid hush money to a porn star. Musk, according to The New York Times, is addicted to drugs; he is also obsessed with the idea of fathering a legion by donating his sperm. In the past, both the divas got out of holes they had dug for themselves by using power and hush money. But this time, the fight is between the world's most powerful man and the world's chaotic and unpredictable, both Trump and Musk embody hubris. This confluence of evil traits promises an Armageddon that threatens to rattle America. Though Musk has shown signs of backing out of a fight, hell hath no fury like Trump followers have already demanded a probe into Musk's business and past. They want Musk's immigration record checked, insinuating that he entered America illegally. A blowback a week ago, Trump and Musk were thick as thieves, pulling off the MAGA heist on gullible Yankees. But by duking it out in public, they have spurned even the thieves' honour code. Expect the unexpected secrets, imagine the worst threats. It is open season in the of them are likely to wash so much dirty linen in public that the world would see them for what they are: emperors without even a fig leaf of InMust Watch

Health Min calls for coordinated efforts to combat seasonal diseases
Mangalagiri: With the monsoon season just days away, Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav has directed the officials to work effectively and in coordination with all relevant departments to prevent seasonal diseases. Recognising that poor sanitation, contaminated water, and mosquito bites impact people's quality of life and productivity, the Minister urged all necessary measures to control these illnesses in the upcoming rainy season. On Friday evening, the Minister conducted a two-and-a-half-hour review meeting with senior officials at the APICC building in Mangalagiri, discussing monsoon-related diseases and the recent emergence of COVID-19 infections in some areas. Minister Satya Kumar Yadav emphasised the use of modern technology, including drones and the 'Musketeer' app, for robust measures against mosquito proliferation during and after the monsoon. He stated that this approach could effectively curb diseases. Spraying mosquito-repellent chemicals via drones in highly mosquito-prone areas, such as Alluri Sitarama Raju and Parvathipuram Manyam districts, would yield positive results. He also recommended implementing the 'Musketeer' app to identify mosquito density. The Minister urged district and field-level officials to coordinate with respective departments to achieve good results in curbing diseases caused by poor sanitation, water pollution, water stagnation, drainage system failures, and open defecation. He directed officials to identify 'hot spots' – areas with high prevalence of these issues based on past years' data – and to ensure appropriate preventive measures are taken. He also stressed the importance of ensuring the availability of bleaching powder and chlorine tablets as needed.

Tennessee middle school unveils Musketeer mascot following UC's cease-and-desist letter
Cheatham Middle School officially revealed its Musketeer mascot Thursday. "The long-awaited moment has arrived... Our Musketeers are getting a brand-new look! And trust us, it's SLEEK, it's BOLD, and it's ready to make a statement," the school, located about 30 miles outside Nashville, Tennessee, posted to Facebook. In October, the University of Cincinnati sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Tennessee middle school, ordering it to change its previous bearcat logo. 🎉♥️ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL 🌟🖤 We are proud to officially unveil Cheatham Middle School's new Musketeers logo! As... Posted by Cheatham County School District on Thursday, March 6, 2025 The letter from Collegiate Licensing Co. (CLC), which is the licensing agent for UC, said the university was aware Cheatham was using UC's official logos and its Bearcats word mark on signage and other material. Cheatham Middle School was "left with no reasonable choice but to rebrand" and select a new mascot, it announced on Facebook. That's when another Cincinnati university offered up its mascot free of charge. Anthony Breen, CEO of Synergistic, a marketing agency in Cincinnati that works with Xavier University, reached out to the school for a potential rebranding to the Musketeers. Jeff Hobbs, athletic director for Cheatham County School District, then said "Musketeers" was among the names being considered. After three rounds of voting, which included the public, alumni and stakeholders, the school announced in December it would officially change from the Cheatham Middle Bearcats to the Cheatham Middle School Musketeers. Hobbs told The Enquirer in December that Synergistic would handle the school's rebrand package, including all the graphic designs for uniforms, banners, the school's letterheads and multiple versions of usable graphics, and Musketeer logos that Cheatham Middle School could use. The school thanked Synergistic via Facebook on Thursday for "creating an amazing logo." While it is similar to Xavier University's Musketeer, it's not quite the same. The logo kept Cheatham's initial colorway of red, white and black, which is of importance to the school. "The school colors were red, white and black. It was important, when you're having a lot of things taken from you, it's 'What can we keep?'" Hobbs said in a December interview. He also told The Enquirer that by working with Breen, an XU grad, all the new artwork and logos would be seen by the university before it was approved for usage. "While other universities do opt to trademark their mascot names, that is something that Xavier University has not ever done and therefore, we don't necessarily have to seek any permission from them," he said. "We definitely have their support and blessing on becoming 'Musketeers.'" Column: Don't forget the ‘Riviera of the Midwest' when doling out cash
If President Donald Trump wants to spend trillions turning Gaza into the 'Riviera of the Middle East,' there's the 'Riviera of the Midwest' that needs some tending. A good billion dollars should be enough to transform empty lots and fallow fields along Lake County's shoreline into a flashy mecca. That is if Trump is serious about the U.S. taking over the Gaza Strip and turning it into a resort destination for the rich and famous as he suggested last week at the White House while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who backs the proposal, stood nearby. Trump also suggested American troops might be needed if the U.S. wants to use the 141-square-mile territory for development. After the president — known for his building skills in numerous regions across the globe prior to his presidential terms — floated this trial balloon, members of his administration have spelled out there is no true commitment to putting U.S. troops, possibly battalions of Army engineers or Navy Seabees, in Gaza to remove Palestinians and raze the uninhabitable rubble left from repeated Israeli bombings during the past year while battling Hamas terrorists. Was the president just continuing to chum the waters of official Washington? If changing the Gaza Strip's 25-mile-long beachfront along the Mediterranean Sea into a jet-set destination complete with golf courses with plenty of sand traps, and providing new towns for some two million displaced Palestinians, then the 'Lake Illinois' shoreline, as Gov. JB Pritzker has christened Lake Michigan, from Zion south to North Chicago surely deserves consideration. It should be included as part of Trump's 'America First' pledge made during the runup to last fall's presidential election. The first Waukegan mayor, Robert Sabonjian, dubbed the city's then-industrialized Lake Michigan lakefront with the potential to be the 'Riviera of the Midwest.' With the largesse of federal money, let's enlarge that footprint to include the lake's shoreline to include the tri-cities for a continuous string of commerce. Sabonjian was mayor from 1957 to 1977, and again from 1985 to 1989. Like other Waukegan mayors, he saw the potential of development on property abutting Lake Michigan. His son, also named Robert, was mayor from 2009 to 2013. The Waukegan Harbor area, with significant marina facilities, already is a popular spot for recreational boating and fishing. Just think what the infusion of a mere billion dollars of federal funding would do to jumpstart development. That type of cash could introduce a grand mixture of low- and high-rise housing, retail and restaurants, sharing vistas of the Big Lake with a series of interspersed open lands, parks and trails. Even Elon Musk, our shadow president, and his Musketeer followers (or do you prefer Muskrats?) should be able to see a future lakefront flanked by majestic structures if the U.S. will be dishing out funds to develop Gaza. Perhaps done via the Department of Magical Thinking, which could replace the U.S. Agency for International Development. Bringing development to the lakefront, with Waukegan being the linchpin, should be in line for Trump funding, although some don't believe him calling for a U.S. takeover of Gaza is realistic. Like 10th District Congressman Brad Schneider, D-Highland Park. 'President Trump's proposal to forcibly remove two million Gazans is not just unworkable — it is immoral and illegal,' Schneider said in a statement last week. 'Mass displacement violates fundamental human rights, international law, and the very values for which the U.S. and Israel stand.' Schneider pointed out that such 'population transfers,' aka 'ethnic cleansing,' bring suffering and long-term insecurity. He called on the administration to work with regional allies and European partners to help rebuild Gaza, 'in a way that ensures lasting security for Israel, dignity for Palestinians and stability for the broader region.' Democrats aren't the only ones to question the wisdom of occupying Gaza. 'I think it's a really dumb idea to talk about having U.S. troops in Gaza. It's the last place on Earth I'd send U.S. troops and I won't support it,' said U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky. Echoed Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, 'The idea of Americans going in on the ground in Gaza is a nonstarter for every senator.' As for the Palestinians, U.N. representative Riyad Mansour said they won't be leaving. 'There is no power on Earth that can remove the Palestinian people from our ancestral homeland, including Gaza,' he said. That isn't a problem if Trump wants to issue funding to develop the 'Riviera of the Midwest.' Few houses exist close to the lakefront sites that are ripe for rejuvenation, so displacing people wouldn't be a problem. Like in Gaza, developers would be lining up to break ground on the lakefront. Let's make it happen in our own backyard.
