Who is Maung Maung Lwin, the ASEAN All-Stars player who scored against Manchester United?
Manchester United lost 0-1 to an ASEAN All-Stars on Wednesday in a post-season friendly match at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur.
This match is a part of a two-game post-season tour which will see the English Premier League side face Hong Kong, China on May 30.
Who is Maung Maung Lwin, the player who scored against Manchester United?
The only goal scored in the friendly match was scored by Burmese forward Maung Maung Lwin. The player netted in the 71st minute of the regulation time.

The 29-year-old player is the captain of the Myanmar men's national football team and he began his professional career with Hantharwady United - a club in his home country - back in 2014.

Lwin won the Myanmar National League in 2018 with Yangon United. In 2021, he moved to Lamphun Warrior FC - a side that plies its trade in Thai League 1 which is the country's top-tier. In the 2024-25 season, Lwin scored twice and provided one assist in 21 appearances, clocking a little over 1200 minutes of game time in the league.
Interestingly, Lwin also faced the Indian men's national team twice in his international career, since his debut in 2015. The first match came in 2017 during the Asian Cup Qualification and the second was in 2023 which was during the Intercontinental Cup in India.
In 65 appearances, Lwin has netted 12 goals for the Myanmar national team.
