It has grown worldwide, strengthening the farmers of the state. He said that the price of Nandini brand products is low compared to other states, including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra. "This must be kept in mind before opposing any price hike," he said. "Milk producers are being paid fairly. Fodder and seeds are being distributed to help them bring down the production cost," he said. Stressing the importance of supplying quality milk, he said that it is the only way through which we can win the trust of the customers. As part of the celebrations, Nandini bakery products were launched. A procession was also held as part of the celebration. Speaking on the occasion, experts emphasised the importance of milk consumption for a healthy life. They pointed out that milk has all the nutrient requirements for a healthy mind and body. Mymul offers free livestock insurance to 65k milk producers

Mysuru: For the first time in the state, Mysuru Milk Union Limited (Mymul) has decided to bring all 65,000 milk producers to avail themselves livestock insurance for their recent years, Mymul funded 50% of the annual premium payment amount for each cattle and collected the remaining 50% from the milk producers. Out of the Rs 550 annual premium amount, including other service charges, it collected Rs 275 from milk only 10,000 milk producers registered for this insurance cover, Mymul has now extended free insurance cover to all its 65,000 dairy farmers to avail themselves of the benefit. The insurance cover not only offers financial protection against losses due to death or disability of livestock, but also covers accidental deaths, disease, and surgical intervention. This has come as a huge relief for dairy farmers of the district. It will be benefiting about one lakh families involved in dairy farming across the to TOI, Mymul chairman N Cheluvaraju said that a decision to this effect was taken in its recent meeting to bring all 65,000 milk producers to avail themselves of livestock insurance cover for their cattle at zero premium amount from June. Farmers must pay just Rs 50 service charges to insure their cattle. The insurance cover is valid for three years, and farmers must renew it once every three years. Mymul has introduced this livestock insurance cover to protect the farmers in case of accidental death to their grass cutters will be distributed Mymul managing director Suresh Naik said that the milk union has also decided to distribute mats, grass cutters, and other machines at 50% subsidised prices for milk producers, apart from bringing all 65,000 milk producers to avail themselves of free insurance cover for their 2017, Mymul procured 5.5 lakh litres of milk from dairy farmers through its 1,105 primary milk producers' cooperative societies. The daily milk procurement reached 7.5 lakh litres by 2022. Mymul's milk procurement doubled to 10 lakh litres by Dec 2024. Now, its daily milk procurement has reduced to 9 lakh litres due to summer, leading to a scarcity of green Mymul is catering to three lakh litres of milk to meet its daily consumers by selling through its milk outlets spread across the city and district.
