Police on Montreal's South Shore are searching for a driver who crashed into a house in Boucherville before fleeing on foot.
Longueuil police (SPAL) received a 911 call at 10:10 p.m. Sunday about the collision at a home on Marie-Victorin Boulevard.
When officers arrived on site, they located an overturned vehicle and found damage to the property and home.
'Everything suggests that speed and alcohol were factors, but the investigation will determine the exact cause of the collision,' said Mélanie Mercille, a spokesperson with Longueuil police.
The force says no one in the home was injured.
The driver, who fled on foot on Marie-Victorin Boulevard, is believed to be in his 30s.
'Officers are searching for the man so they can arrest him,' confirmed Mercille.
A security perimeter has been set up in the area.
