N-able launches free global UEM certification for IT staff
N-able has launched new core certification programmes for its unified endpoint management (UEM) solutions, N-central and N-sight, which are now available to customers at no cost via the N-able U training platform. The certifications are designed to help IT professionals fully utilise the capabilities of N-able's UEM offerings, enabling more efficient and secure management of IT systems. According to N-able, the training programmes are structured to enhance technical competencies, promote professional advancement, and improve organisational performance by developing certified expertise in UEM platforms. The certifications are delivered on demand through N-able U, an education hub accessible to customers globally. They cover a range of topics aimed at both technical staff and managers, including automation tools, workflow optimisation, security skills, and system integrations. The courses have been developed to meet the needs of individuals at varying levels of experience, from entry level to advanced practitioners. Louis Oosthuizen, a developer at Zhero, described the depth of the training content. "The certification content covers every single nook and cranny of what N-central has to offer to a point where even I, with my experience as a software engineer building toolsets around N-central, was able to learn a bunch of new things," he said. "Based on my experience, this is the ultimate method of preparing any newly onboarded Service Desk engineer towards using the platform to the highest level they are capable of." N-able stated that, for IT professionals, achieving certification provides an advantage in a competitive labour market. Along with improving daily operational efficiency and strengthening security postures, certified technicians are expected to take on more advanced responsibilities and unlock increased earning potential. The company also highlighted the role of certification in validating practical skills and preparing users for real-world IT management and security challenges. The training modules are intended to support IT technical staff in building proficiency with automation tools, such as drag-and-drop workflows and script automation, with the aim of increasing operational efficiency and service reliability. N-able also pointed to the value of certification in facilitating career progression for those specialising in N-central and N-sight. For IT managers, N-able stated that teams with certified members could expect a higher return on investment by maximising the use of key platform features, such as third-party integrations, patch management, reporting, and proactive system monitoring. The structured learning paths and standardised content are also aimed at streamlining employee onboarding and maintaining consistency in technical capabilities across organisations. Frank Colletti, Chief Revenue Officer at N-able, outlined the company's objective for the certification initiative. "We're committed to delivering high-quality training that's not only practical but impactful," he said. "Whether you're just starting out or deepening your expertise, these certifications are designed to ensure you get real value from our best-in-class UEM solutions. Creating a learning environment that supports both beginners and veterans has always been our goal. We want our customers to know exactly how to use our tools to solve real problems - quickly and confidently. This is about more than just passing a test—it's about helping our customers succeed, stay secure, and be efficient." The certifications are currently available worldwide and can be accessed by customers whenever needed, providing flexibility for those working across different time zones and schedules. N-able reports that the first group of certification participants engaged with the training during an initial rollout in Berlin, with plans for additional advanced content and learning pathways to be introduced over time. The company has stated that it will continue to develop and expand the training offerings available through N-able U, aiming to ensure IT professionals and organisations derive tangible benefits in operational efficiency, security management, and staff development by engaging with the certification programmes.
