Muni will be free for NBA-All Star, Lunar New Year weekend, SFMTA announces
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — With thousands of people expected to descend on San Francisco this weekend for the NBA All-Stars and Lunar New Year Parade, officials are urging people to leave their cars at home. To that end, the San Francisco Municipal Transit Agency has announced that Muni will be free on Saturday, Feb. 15 and Sunday, Feb. 16.
'Fares will be free citywide to help you get to the parade,' SFMTA said on its website. Although, SF's iconic cable cars are excluded from the free service.
