The Oklahoma City Thunder grabbed the NBA Championship 2025 after defeating the Indiana Pacers in Game 7 this Sunday at Paycom Center. This marked the franchise's second championship trophy - and the first since it rebranded from the SuperSonics to the Thunder as it moved to Oklahoma City back in 2008.

This success was led by the Thunder's MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, along with Jalen Williams, as they beat the Pacers 103 - 91 in Game 7 of the
Finals. The best team throughout the Finals series was notably the best team till the very end.

The Oklahoma City Thunder gave an outstanding performance throughout the series, showing incredible determination and resilience. Playing alongside a reliable partner, Jalen Williams, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 29 points and 12 assists, beating the Pacers, whose unfortunate loss was marked by Tyrese Haliburton's injury during the first quarter.
Finishing off his MVP season, followed by Dennis Johnson, who led the SuperSonics against the Washington Bullets with a 4-1 victory back in 1979, thereby becoming the Final MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a remarkable impact in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
The Oklahoma City Thunder becomes the youngest ever team to win the NBA Finals championship, 2025. The Thunder secured their first championship and became the 4th team in NBA history to have won 84+ games in a single season.
The 2024-25 season saw the Thunder dominate with a 68-14 regular season record and a league-best point differential of 12.9. Having lost Game 6 of the Finals to the Pacers, the Thunder charged up, thereby convincing themselves to win the next game. The game started with a terrific hit of events as the Pacers star player, Tyrese Haliburton scored three three-pointers in the first five minutes, but due to an unfortunate turn of events, where he slipped and injured his right leg, the Thunder took great advantage of the situation that led to them winning the game.

'It doesn't feel real,' said Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. 'So many hours. So many moments. So many emotions. So many nights of disbelief. So many nights of belief. It's crazy to know that we're all here, but this group worked for it. This group put in the hours, and we deserve this.' This was indeed a heartwarming moment for the team as they won the 2025 Championship after almost 47 years. Their unwavering spirit and determination have made them one of the most incredible teams in the history of the NBA.
