The Nebraska softball team will travel to Louisiana for the Baton Rouge Regional of the 2025 NCAA Softball Huskers will face the UConn Huskies on Friday in the tournament's opening round.
Nebraska is the No. 2 seed in the Baton Rouge Regional. They enter the tournament with a 39-13 record overall and a 17-5 mark in the Big Ten. UConn is 35-17 overall and 18-6 in conference play. The No. 1 seed LSU Tigers will play Southeastern Louisiana.
Nebraska earned an invite as an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. UConn received an automatic bid after defeating Creighton to win the Big East Tournament. Cornhusker Jordy Bahl was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year, the first player in conference history to earn both awards in the same season.
This is Nebraska's 27th NCAA Tournament appearance. The Huskers have made it to the Women's College World Series seven times and own a 65-56 record in the NCAA Tournament, including a 55-39 mark in the regional round.
