Senior power forward Henry Coleman proclaims that 'nobody has doubt or fear' at Texas A&M
Senior power forward Henry Coleman proclaims that 'nobody has doubt or fear' at Texas A&M The Texas A&M men's basketball team was upset 94-89 in double overtime against the Texas Longhorns in the second round of the SEC Tournament, which was a tough pill to swallow for Aggies senior power forward Henry Coleman III. "It's everybody's character. Everybody on this team has been through something. We've gone through trials and tribulations. We're going to get back, go to sleep and get to work. Nobody has doubt or fear in that room," Coleman explained Thursday. "I thought we competed on both ends of the floor. Every single person in that locker room wanted to be in the fight. We fought in the middle of the ring and never backed down. I'm proud of this team. "(Wade Taylor IV) has a super high basketball IQ. He watches a ton of film and studies everything. I'm not shocked at all with his performance." Texas A&M (22-10) will learn its fate for the NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday, March 16, at 5 p.m. CT. The first round begins Thursday. 'I wish we got to the paint,' Coach Williams reflects on Texas A&M upset loss versus Texas
'I wish we got to the paint,' Coach Williams reflects on Texas A&M upset loss versus Texas The Texas A&M men's basketball team was upset 94-89 in double overtime against the Texas Longhorns in the second round of the SEC Tournament, much to the dismay of Aggies head coach Buzz Williams. "I wish we got to the paint a little bit more. Our free throw attempts were OK. Both teams got to the bonus early in the second half. I don't have a problem with shooting 3s, but any time we're down and can stop the clock, we want to," Williams recalled Thursday. "I thought our guys did a lot of great things. Credit to Texas for doing great things. I think that's why it's called madness. It's never going to be perfect, but we have to handle it. We didn't play to our recipe in the first half. "In 2011, the Big East was the best league. During my time in the ACC, it became the best league. I don't think my arrival in the SEC made it the best league. This year is historic. We've played 26 Quad 1 & 2 games." Texas A&M (22-10) will learn its fate for the NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday, March 16, at 5 p.m. CT. The first round begins Thursday. Texas A&M 'want to continue to attack downhill and get to the line' per senior Wade Taylor
Texas A&M 'want to continue to attack downhill and get to the line' per senior Wade Taylor As the Texas A&M men's basketball team was upset 94-89 in double overtime against the Texas Longhorns in the second round of the SEC Tournament, Aggies senior point guard Wade Taylor IV became the tourney's all-time leading scorer. "That's how we want to go about our offense. We want to go to the free throw line and get makes. We want to continue to attack downhill and get to the line," Taylor said Thursday. "We've had a lot of great memories here. We've been blessed to have success here. I'm just thankful to be here. I'm thankful for my coaches and teammates for making this possible." Taylor's teammate, senior power forward Henry Coleman III, was complimentary of his floor general after the loss. "He has a super high basketball IQ," Coleman said of Taylor. "He watches a ton of film and studies everything. I'm not shocked at all with his performance." Texas A&M (22-10) will learn its fate for the NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday, March 16, at 5 p.m. CT. The first round begins Thursday.
