Dallas traded away star forward Satou Sabally this offseason and saw Natasha Howard leave for Indiana in free agency, setting the stage for a new-look Wings team. The Aces had an eventful offseason, moving on from former No. 1 overall pick Kelsey Plum, who was traded to the Sparks as part of a three-team deal that landed Jewell Loyd in Vegas. Loyd is used to playing a high-usage role, so it will be interesting to see how she performs in the Aces system. Why is this game in South Bend? Because both teams feature notable Notre Dame alum. For Vegas, it's Loyd and Jackie Young. For the Wings, it's star guard Arike Ogunbowale, whose ability to hit timely big shots won a national championship for the Irish.
