Mahabubabad teacher to attend NCERT national conference for third time
A physics teacher at Zilla Parishath High School, Penugonda, Kesamudram mandal, V. Gurunadha Rao, has once again brought laurels to Mahabubabad district by being selected to present at the prestigious NCERT National Conference 2024-25 to be held in New Delhi on June 26-27.
His selected project 'Hands-on Physics: Empowering Students through Practical STEM Education' emphasises experiential learning as a means to nurture scientific thinking and a spirit of inquiry among students. The project has received acclaim at various levels for its creative and student-centric approach.
Mr. Rao is the only teacher from Telangana to be selected three times (2018-19, 2021-22, and 2024-25) to present innovative practices on the NCERT stage. As a renowned academic with two Ph.D. degrees, Mr. Rao has made significant contributions to educational research, having presented and published over 100 research papers at national and international seminars.
District Educational Officer Ravinder Reddy commended Rao's achievement. Mr. Gurunadha Rao said: 'Platforms like the NCERT national conference play a vital role in recognising and nurturing innovative practices that can transform classrooms.'
