2025 Tampa Bay Buccaneers projections: Will Bucky Irving surpass his 2024 total yards?
Bucky Irving made his presence felt immediately in 2024, finishing his rookie campaign with 1,514 scrimmage yards — 1,122 rushing and 392 receiving, which was the most by any rookie and good for 10th in the NFL overall. Now, entering Year 2 in Tampa Bay's offense, Irving has a clear path to build on that breakout season. And all signs point to a bigger role and even bigger production. Irving thrived in 2024 under then–passing game coordinator Josh Grizzard, who's now been promoted to offensive coordinator. That continuity matters. The Buccaneers aren't changing the system that allowed Irving to average 5.4 yards per carry and catch 47 passes out of the backfield. With Rachaad White still in the mix, Tampa is expected to run more two-back sets, which is a perfect scenario for a player like Irving, whose ability to create in space and contribute as a receiver makes him a matchup nightmare. His late-season surge saw him take over primary duties, logging 60–70% of the snaps down the stretch. Bucky Irving is poised for a breakout season Irving showed no signs of hitting a rookie wall. He had three 100+ yard games in the final six weeks and won NFC Offensive Player of the Week once. His balance, acceleration, and pass-catching make him more than a complementary option — he's a featured weapon. Tampa's scheme should open up even more for him in 2025, with rookie receivers Emeka Egbuka and Tez Johnson adding deep speed to stretch defenses and leave more room underneath for Irving to operate. As well as the return of Godwin Jr's underrated blocking to help open up holes down the field. If Irving's usage climbs slightly, even to 8–12 more touches over the full year, he's positioned to deliver a jump in production. 2025 Tampa Bay Buccaneers projections: Will Baker Mayfield eclipse his 2024 passing yards?
Baker Mayfield's 2024 season wasn't just a bounce-back; it was a career breakthrough. He threw for 4,500 yards, 41 touchdowns, and completed 71.4% of his passes, all career highs. He set Buccaneers franchise records in completions (407), passer rating (106.8), and led Tampa Bay to another NFC South title. Mayfield enters 2025 poised to match or even exceed last year's production despite a new coach calling plays for a unique third straight year. Grizzard Takes Over, But the Offense Stays Familiar Josh Grizzard steps into his first year as offensive coordinator, but he's no stranger to this unit. As the 2024 passing game coordinator, Grizzard played a major role in designing the offense, especially on third downs, that powered Mayfield's best season yet. Under his influence, the Buccaneers ranked third in passing yards per game (250.4), third in total offense (399.6 YPG), and first in third-down conversions (51.1%). That continuity in system and personnel gives Mayfield a rare advantage as he doesn't need to learn something new despite having his third offensive coordinator in as many years. Mayfield wasn't just efficient; he was dominant when the Bucs needed him most. In Week 6 against the Saints, he threw for 325 yards and four touchdowns as Tampa racked up a franchise-record 594 total yards. In Week 15, he dismantled the Chargers with 288 yards and four scores in a 40–17 win. Then came his signature performance: 359 yards and five touchdowns against Carolina in Week 17, earning him NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Mayfield threw for over 300 yards in eight games, showing he can deliver high-volume numbers across the season, not just in favorable matchups. Tampa Bay's 2025 schedule is full of high-scoring potential. The Bucs will face Detroit, Houston, and Buffalo, who are all teams with explosive offenses that could lead to shootouts and more passing attempts. Meanwhile, weaker pass defenses like New England (30th), Arizona (28th), and Carolina (32nd in 2024) offer opportunities to pile up yardage efficiently. With a Week 9 bye, Mayfield also gets a chance to reset and finish strong, something he did exceptionally well last season Mayfield's 2024 season was no fluke. It was the product of experience, chemistry with weapons like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin Jr, and a system that plays to his strengths. With nearly everything in place again and a schedule that favors volume, there's every reason to believe he'll do it again.

Featured pricing is subject to change. The Arizona Cardinals turned heads in 2024. After a dismal 2023 season where they went 4-13, coach Jonathan Gannon's club course corrected last year going 8-9 while compiling impressive victories against the playoff-bound Chargers and Rams. This was largely due to the play of star quarterback Kyler Murray, who achieved a rare perfect passer rating in one game — a feat not seen since 1974 — and won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week in another. He didn't do it alone, though. The 27-year-old Oklahoma alum received help from Pro Bowlers Budda Baker and Trey McBride, as well as standouts Marvin Harrison Jr. and James Conner. Now, after having made a couple of clutch signings such as projected starters Josh Sweat, Dalvin Tomlinson, Akeem Davis-Gaither, Evan Brown and backup QB Jacoby Brissett this offseason (along with draft pick Walter Nolen), they're ready to go into the 2025 season and take on their tough, recently announced schedule. Huge home games at State Farm Stadium to keep an eye out for include contests against divisional rivals Seattle Seahawks (Sept. 25), San Francisco 49ers (Nov. 16) and Los Angeles Rams (Dec. 7) as well as a matchup with the Green Bay Packers (Oct. 19). And if you want to be there, tickets are available for all eight 2025 Cardinals home games on Vivid Seats as of today. Not familiar with Vivid Seats?
