NHL Stanley Cup Finals on deck: When will NHL Finals start?
As Bon Jovi likes to say, we're halfway there.
On May 28, the Florida Panthers punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals by eliminating the Carolina Hurricanes in five games. While the Panthers will represent the Eastern Conference, the Western Conference has yet to be decided.

It could end as early as May 29 when the Edmonton Oilers travel to Dallas needing one win over the Stars to end the series. The Oilers lead the series 3-1.
So when will the finals start?
That depends on what happens tonight.
A win by the Oilers tonight would likely mean the finals would start June 4. But should the Stars force a Game 6, that would push the Stanley Cup Finals until June 7.
Either way, the Stanley Cup Finals should start sometime next week.
