Athlete of the Week: Taylor Wood
NIXA–This week's Athlete of the Week is Taylor Wood. Wood is a junior goalkeeper on the Nixa High School girls soccer team. Last week, in a showdown with arch-rival, Kickapoo, Wood posted a clean sheet to help the Lady Eagles shutout the Lady Chiefs, 1-0. Her stellar effort between the pipes is a big reason Nixa is 11-1 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the Central Ozarks Conference this season. Do you have an Athlete of the Week nomination? Athlete of the Week: Caeden Cloud
NIXA–This week's Athlete of the Week is Caeden Cloud. Cloud, is a senior on the Nixa High School baseball team. Earlier this week, Cloud led the Eagles to a fifth straight win by defeating Logan Rogersville, the 5th ranked team in all of Class 4, 10-2. Cloud launched a solo home run in the bottom of the first to give his team the early edge, then, added more insurance with a 2-run double to center in the bottom of the third.
