NRL surprise: Stokes' right-hand man revealed as Perth Bears chief

One of Kerry Stokes' most senior lieutenants is expected to become the inaugural chief executive of the NRL's Perth Bears in a sign of rugby league's ambitions to solidify its presence in Western Australia. Anthony De Ceglie, Seven West Media's Fremantle-born television boss, is expected to be put in charge of the NRL-controlled Bears, media sources with direct knowledge of the matter told The Australian Financial Review. The NRL, which is responsible for electing the chief executive, was approached for comment.
