RAIPUR: NTPC Korba has received the "Champion (Outstanding)" award in the 'Environment Sustainability' category under the 'Power (Inclusive Renewables)' sector at the 19th EXCEED Environment, CSR & HR Awards 2025. The Sustainable Development Foundation (EKDKN), a non-governmental organisation, conferred the award. The Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change, Government of India, supported the event. EKDKN focuses on environmental protection, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and human resource development. This recognition highlights NTPC Korba's commitment to sustainable environmental practices, renewable energy integration, and inclusive growth. NTPC to set up 111cr sewage treatment plant in Korba dist
Raipur: NTPC Korba has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Korba municipal corporation to establish a tertiary sewage water treatment plant, in a move which is expected to be a step towards sustainable water management at the site. The plant will enable the reuse of treated sewage water for industrial purposes. This initiative, worth Rs 111 crore, will make Korba the first city in Chhattisgarh to implement large-scale reuse of sewage water. NTPC Korba has previously contributed over Rs 14 crore for a sewage treatment plant in the city. A press release said that the project demonstrates NTPC's commitment to community development and environmental sustainability. sThe collaboration between NTPC and Korba municipal corporation is expected to contribute to water conservation efforts in the region.

RAIPUR: NTPC Korba has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korba Municipal Corporation to establish a Tertiary Sewage Water Treatment Plant in Korba, in a significant step towards sustainable water management and environmental conservation . NTPC has committed Rs 111 crore towards setting up this advanced treatment facility. The plant will enable the reuse of treated sewage water for industrial purposes at the NTPC Korba plant. This initiative marks a pioneering move, making Korba the first city in Chhattisgarh to implement large-scale reuse of sewage water. Prior to this project, NTPC Korba had already contributed over Rs 14 crore for the establishment of a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in the city. This demonstrates its commitment to community development and environmental sustainability. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Korba Mayor Sanju Devi, Corporation Commissioner Ashutosh Pandey, and Rajeev Khanna, ED, NTPC Korba. This collaboration between NTPC and Korba Municipal Corporation sets a benchmark in responsible water usage and is expected to significantly contribute to water conservation efforts in the region.
