The first glimpse of Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel's much-awaited film has been postponed to give way to the release of War 2's first asset, which drops on Jr NTR's birthday, May 20.
Fans of Jr NTR were eagerly waiting for the first glimpse of his high-octane action film with director Prashanth Neel. However, the much-anticipated reveal has now been postponed—but for good reason. The makers have stepped back to make way for the first official asset from War 2, which will drop on May 20, 2025—Jr NTR's birthday.
This news was first hinted at by Hrithik Roshan, who stars alongside Jr NTR in War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji. Taking to social media, Hrithik teased, 'Hey @tarak9999, think you know what to expect on the 20th of May this year? Trust me, you have NO idea what's in store. Ready? #War2." Jr NTR responded in kind, saying, 'Thank you in advance @iHrithik sir!!! Can't wait to hunt you down to give you a special return gift, Kabir…"
Adding to the excitement, Mythri Movie Makers, producers of the Jr NTR–Prashanth Neel film, confirmed the postponement via X. Their statement read, 'Respecting the WAR… Before unleashing the CARNAGE. For now, #WAR2 takes over the proceedings. We'll arrive next at the perfect time to launch our MASS MISSILE – #NTRNeel Glimpse. Celebrate Man of Masses @Tarak9999's birthday with #War2."
While it's unclear whether War 2 will unveil a teaser or poster, fans are buzzing with excitement. This project not only unites Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR on screen for the first time, but also marks Jr NTR's official Bollywood debut—making the moment all the more significant.
War 2, part of YRF's expanding Spy Universe, also stars Kiara Advani and is set to hit theatres on August 14, 2025.
