Former Champion Returns And Wins Gold On WWE NXT
A former champion returned to WWE NXT tonight after missing several months of action. Lexis King was informed today by Penn and Teller that he would defend his Heritage Cup Championship against a mystery opponent on tonight's show. King's opponent proved to be a true test for him, as he's very familiar with that specific championship. Advertisement Noam Dar returned to WWE NXT tonight after an 11-month absence. Dar hasn't been seen since he was taken out by Ethan Page last year. According to WWE, Dar was out with an injury where a tendon was ripped off the bone in one of his legs. Surprisingly, Noam Dar went on to defeat Lexis King to capture the NXT Heritage Cup for an unprecedented fourth time. This means the match between Ricky Saints and Lexis King next week for the North American Championship is no longer title for title. WWE NXT Rises Back Above 700,000 Viewers On 3/25
NXT logo 2024 WWE NXT viewership increased on March 25th. Wrestlenomics (via Programming Insider) reports that 741,000 viewers tuned in, which is up from last week (676,000 viewers). This marks NXT's highest audience since February 25th. In the 18 to 49 demographic, NXT scored a 0.16 rating, which is also up from last week's rating (0.15). NXT was up against an NBA game on TNT, which ranked first on cable. The March 25th episode of WWE NXT featured multiple title matches. Stephanie Vaquer defended the NXT Women's Championship against Jaida Parker. She also defended the NXT Women's North American Championship against Fallon Henley. Plus, Je'Von Evans challenged Lexis King for the NXT Heritage Cup.
