US President Donald Trump announced that the American military conducted a 'successful attack" on Iran's nuclear facilities in Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz, calling it a 'historic" moment for Israel and the world. He also warned Iran that any response would be met with overwhelming force.
He said the US airstrikes on early Sunday had 'completely and totally obliterated" Iran's main nuclear enrichment facilities. 'Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater, and a lot easier," he added.
Meanwhile, Israel also raised the threat level in the country and closed its airspace to brace for possible retaliation from Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his promise to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities had been 'fulfilled" following the strikes carried out 'in perfect coordination" between the Israeli and US militaries.
