NYOCM: Multiple underage individuals became ill due to gummies from Maraym's
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The New York Office of Cannabis Management tells News 34 that multiple underage individuals fell ill and were hospitalized after purchasing and consuming illegal cannabis gummies from Maryam's Taste of Halal in Binghamton.
OCM seized the unregulated products and issued a notice of violation to Maryam's for the incident at 69 Court Street. The Office reminds residents interested in cannabis products that there are currently two licensed dispensaries in Binghamton: Just Breathe and Cotton Mouth Dispensary.
Jared Kraham announced the violation on X earlier this week, stating, 'Unlicensed stores selling illegal and untested cannabis products are dangerous. I urge Binghamton residents to buy only from NYS-regulated cannabis dispensaries. Any other business selling cannabis is putting your health at risk and probably ripping you off.'
Maryam's is an unlicensed cannabis retailer.
