Buvazoi Tavantang: Cherlos to represent Sipitang

SIPITANG: Cherlos Lusar emerged champion of the Sipitang Buvazoi Tavantang Kaamatan (BTK) 2025 competition, defeating five other contestants at the event held in the Multipurpose Hall here on Saturday. Cherlos brought home a cash prize of RM1, 500, the traditional sigah headdress, a sash, certificate and other prizes. First runner-up Naigel Uno received RM1, 000, while second runner-up Sebastian Suipin was awarded RM800, both also receiving sashes, certificates and additional prizes. Naigel Uno was named Best Catwalk, while Sebastian Suipin won Best Talent. The Audience Choice award went to Neftaly Padan. As champion, Cherlos will represent Sipitang at the State-level competition. Prizes were presented by Raimey Abdul Rahman, representing Sipitang District Officer and Celebration Committee Chairman Abdul Karim AM Zahari, alongside Sipitang KDCA Chairman Francis Japulis.
