1 2 P rayagraj: The district fire department is actively engaging with youngsters, including NSS and NCC cadets and college students, to educate them on fire safety and prevention. Through a series of mock drills, officials are teaching students about fire hazards, preventive measures, and emergency response procedures, empowering them with crucial knowledge to handle fire-related situations. Chief fire officer RK Pandey stated that the department is conducting awareness and educational camps for students at colleges and coaching centers, focusing on fire safety education. The camps cover essential topics such as building evacuation procedures, common fire hazards, proper use of fire extinguishers, and emergency planning. These programmes aim to raise awareness about fire hazards and safety practices in educational institutes and the broader community. " Pandey also said that cadets of NCC and NSS are keen to learn preventive measures to promote a culture of fire safety and preparedness. Officials are encouraging youngsters, students, and staff to take an active role in preventing fires and responding to emergencies.
