BBMP launches WhatsApp helpline for waste-related complaints
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has launched a dedicated WhatsApp helpline for citizens to lodge waste-related complaints in the city.
Residents may send all waste-related complaints, including blackspots, dumping of construction and debris waste and irregular waste collection, as message on WhatsApp with photographs to the number 9448197197.
Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister D.K. Shivakumar during Environment Day celebrations on June 5, had announced a dedicated helpline for waste related complaints.
A BBMP statement issued on Thursday said that complaints can be lodged on BBMP Helpline 1533, BBMP official website and Namma Bengaluru Sahaya App 2.0, apart from the WhatsApp number.
