Four get five-years RI in ganja case
In a significant judgement, the Nandyal District First Additional Sessions Court sentenced four persons to five years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹25,000 each in a Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act case.
Superintendent of Police Adhiraj Singh Rana said: 'The convicts Erukula Kavadi Murali and Erukula Garidi Suri of Dhone Town, Erukula Mekala Srinu of Golugonda in Visakhapatnam district, and Erukula Pusala Sivakumar of Banswada in Nizamabad-Telangana were caught by the Dhone Town police on December 29, 2018. The arrests were made near the Anjaneya Swamy temple in the town, while they were packing ganja into small packets. Police seized 1.2 kg ganja during the arrest.'
