No drone fly zone in Nashik city
Nashik, May 17 (UNI) In the wake of Operation Sindoor, the Nashik Police Commissionerate has issued a 'No Drone Fly Zone' in Nashik city. Keeping in mind the suspicion and possibility of terrorist attacks, the order was issued by Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik on May 16.
The order will remain in force till May 31, and it has been stated that no one will be able to fly a drone without permission.
The Nashik Police Commissionerate announced a list of major sensitive places within the limits of the commissionerate in 2022, which includes police, Army, Air Force, press and temples. The use of flying devices, including drones, has been prohibited everywhere in the city, including this area.
Meanwhile, for several years, drones cannot be flown within the limits of Nashik Police Commissionerate without prior permission.
During the Corona period, there was an attempt to fly a drone without permission in the premises of the Maharashtra Police Academy. At that time, the police system became more alert and investigated, since then the restrictions on the use of drones have been increased.
Now, as a precaution against terrorist activities, new prohibitory decisions have been announced from 2022. Accordingly, the order has been amended again and the prohibitory orders have been implemented.
Drones, paragliders, paramotors, hot air balloons, microlights and aircraft are prohibited in sensitive areas within the city limits. If drones are to be used in other areas, prior permission from the Commissionerate is mandatory. For this, drone operators-owners will have to provide information about the venue of the event in the application.
The Commissionerate has instructed to attach the date, time, drone information, operator's name and address, contact number, and a photocopy of the training to the application.
