He acknowledged that Jordan is facing pressing economic priorities and security challenges but stressed the need not to overlook the impact of sports. He noted that sports can contribute to the economy, boost tourism, and elevate national morale in ways that support the aspirations of Jordan's youth. Crown Prince Al Hussein also remarked that local sports clubs are not currently performing at the desired level, pointing to mismanagement as a reason many talented players have not received the recognition they deserve. He called for greater administrative and financial transparency among local clubs, emphasizing that every club should be able to develop its own investments to diversify income sources instead of relying solely on donations.
