Iran condemns Israeli crime in "Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh " that claimed 19 Iranian lives

Tehran - Saba: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani condemned the Zionist entity's crime in "Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh " which claimed the lives of 19 Iranians, describing it as evidence of the entity's hatred toward Iranians. In a post on the "X" platform on Thursday, the Foreign Ministry spokesman stated: "In Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh , a small town in northern Iran, a massacre was committed, claiming the lives of 19 innocent people—women, children, and elderly—relatives and friends of the Iranian researcher Seyed Mohammad Reza Sadeghi. This was carried out using missiles provided by America in support of the terrorist Israeli entity." He added, "This brutal massacre is a clear example of a war crime and terrorism, demonstrating the depth of hostility and malice the Israeli entity harbors toward Iranians." Kanaani continued, "The Zionist entity lies when it speaks of 'security' and 'defense.' Terrorism and the killing of innocents are part of its official policy, which its Western supporters and apologists whitewash through systematic and institutionalized hypocrisy, disregarding all international laws, standards, and human rights." He affirmed that the Iranian people will neither forget nor forgive these crimes. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Iran says Oman is ‘main candidate' to mediate nuclear talks with US

Oman is the 'main candidate' to mediate any potential nuclear negotiations between Iran and the US, the Iranian foreign ministry said on Monday. The Islamic Republic hasn't yet heard from the US after sending a 'responsible, generous and wise' counter-proposal to US President Donald Trump after he sent a letter to Tehran last month about striking a new nuclear deal, Nasser Kanaani, spokesman for Iran's foreign ministry, told reporters at a televised press conference. Kanaani added that a trilateral, expert-level meeting was taking place in Moscow on Monday involving Iranian, Russian and Chinese officials to discuss the moribund 2015 nuclear deal.
