Centerville falls in state final, ends historic season as Div. 1 runner-up
AKRON, Ohio (WDTN) – Centerville softball ended its historic season as the Division 1 state runner-up after falling to Lebanon 3-1 in the state championship.
The 2025 Elks became the first team in program history to advance to the state Final Four and play in a state championship game.
Sophomore Natalie Carr batted in the Elks' lone run on an RBI groundout.
Freshman pitcher Caitlyn Belcher tossed the complete game for Centerville, recording three strikeouts and allowing 10 hits, three runs (one earned) and no walks.
Centerville finished its season 18-14 overall.
