Elena Kong explains truth behind Natalie Tong's bakery queues
11 Apr - Elena Kong has recently dismissed rumours saying that Natalie Tong's bakery business is dwindling. The actress discussed this rumour on the show, "Celebuzz" with her co-hosts, Spencer Leung and Carlo Ng, which stemmed from the fact that the bakery, 33 Cubread, no longer has long queues waiting outside the shop in Causeway Bay like in the early days of its launch. Claiming to have received information from an inside source, Elena said that the reason why the queue outside the shop disappeared was because of more staff that have been employed by the bakery. "Before, there were so many people queuing because there were not enough staff, which meant that the products were slow to sell. Now that they have hired more people, there are more products and they are easier to buy. There are not so many people queuing. It's just a supply and demand issue," she said. It is noted that Natalie previously expressed her intention to open another branch, seeing that there were so many people queuing outside her bakery. "We have now increased production. I can sell out all the bread every day and I feel very happy," she said. (Photo Source: Celebuzz IG, Natalie IG)
