Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 1.25%
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a positive note on Wednesday. Shares of Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 4.88 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 2.77 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 2.46 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.19 per cent) and Cipla Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 1.24% in an upbeat market
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:24AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market. Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 0.2 per cent) and Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 0.07 per cent) were among the top gainers. Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 3.25 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 1.77 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.66 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.57 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.56 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty Pharma index was down 1.24 per cent at 21636.8 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 13.16 points at 24341.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 67.69 points at 80286.06. Live Events Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, UCO Bank, Tata Technologies, Canara Bank and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
