Washington Summer Festival kicks off for 42nd year
WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) — The 42nd annual Washington Summer Festival got underway Friday, June 13, 2025.
Each year, the event brings music, food and people to the area and the Washington waterfront. There will also be fireworks at 9 p.m.
Many businesses are hoping to enjoy the festival as well. 'We're all about doing custom hats, meeting different people throughout the community, you know, trying to check off different parts of North Carolina,' Owner/Partner of Old North Hat Co. Nate Lusk said.
The festival will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. The music will take place at Mac Bear Hodges Park.
