Emmerdale in another schedule shake-up as soap to air an earlier extended episode TONIGHT

EMMERDALE is set to air an earlier extended episode TONIGHT in a schedule shake-up. Last night's instalment was pushed back due to ITV's coverage of the UEFA Women's Nations League. 4 4 4 Fans will be treated with an hour long instalment tonight to make up for the lost episode. It will be airing on screens from 7pm until concluding at 8pm. Viewers had been left desperate for answers as Monday's episode ended on a tense cliffhanger. Ruby Fox-Miligan confessed to the police that she killed her abusive father, Anthony Fox. Upon hearing a body had been recovered from the dredged village lake, Ruby and her family were left panicked. Believing her days were numbered, she snuck away from home to give herself up. Ruby killed Anthony – who had molested her as a child and even fathered her daughter, Steph – in January, although initially Aaron Dingle was believed to have done it. Although Aaron did brutally batter him, – leaving Aaron to recruit John Sugden to help him dispose of the body. Viewers are aware the body in the lake is actually Nate Robinson, who hasn't been seen in the Dales since September last year. In February, the soap revealed Nate's true fate after seemingly departing for Shetland. A hen party crashed into the icy lake, which is when fans spotted the body for the first time. It was only a bracelet from Nate's daughter Frankie that revealed his identity. John Sugden was later revealed to have killed Nate accidentally - before disposing of his body in the lake. The army medic has since become one of the show's most acctive killers – also offing his ex-boyfriend on his wedding day to Aaron. Darkest soap storylines Over the years the likes of EastEnders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street have all tried to try outdo each other with their outlandish plots in a bid to keep us tuning in each week. But here are some of the darkest that had fans in shock... EastEnders: Tony grooming Whitney (2008-2009) - Tony King first appeared in Albert Square in 2008 as the boyfriend of Bianca, played by Patsy Palmer. But it was quickly revealed he was a paedophile who had been grooming vulnerable Whitney, Bianca's adopted stepdaughter from a previous relationship, since she was 12. The shocking storyline attracted more than 200 complaints within a week of it beginning. Whitney waited until her 16th birthday to reveal the truth to a horrified Bianca, who called the police. Emmerdale: Holly's drug addiction and shock death (2010-2016) - In 2010, Holly Barton (played by Sophie Powles) became Emmerdale's first teenage drug addict. The shocking storyline saw her taking cocaine on a night out before developing a deadly heroin habit. Parents John and Moira desperately tried to help get their daughter clean but when Holly returned in 2016, following a four-year absence, she quickly relapsed. Fans were left stunned and heartbroken when distraught Moira found Holly dead in her bed from a heroin overdose. Hollyoaks: Luke's rape (2000) - Actor Gary Lucy was just 17 when he took on this groundbreaking storyline, which saw his character Luke Morgan become soap's first male rape victim. Luke had endured a long-running bullying campaign by football rival Mark Gibbs - who raped him after Luke stood up to him. Luke was left suicidal following the brutal attack, before opening up to his brother Adam. Gibbs was sentenced to eight years in prison. Gary won the Best Actor gong at the British Soap Awards in 2000 for his performance. Coronation Street: Evil Richard Hillman (2001-2003) - Just a mere mention of 'Richard Hillman' is enough to send a shiver down the spines of soap fans. He is often ranked one of the most evil soap villains and it's not hard to see why. The smooth-talking financial adviser bashed his ex-wife Patricia over the head with a shovel. In a bid to keep his mother-in-law Audrey quiet, he set fire to her house. And when Maxine caught him trying to murder Emily Bishop, he took a crowbar to her head. He made his exit from the cobbles in 2003 when he drove Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, and her family into the canal. They survived, but he didn't. Ruby, Aaron and John had been keeping quiet about the cover-up. However, Ruby's husband Caleb and his half-siblings Cain and Chas Dingle were later brought into the fold. Will Ruby's confession inadvertently bring down her co-conspirators? Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and ITVX.

Nate's sudden and swift exit, supposedly for Shetland, never quite sat right with fans, and in February a daring stunt scene saw the truth come to light. When a hen party crashed into the icy lake, the body was spotted for the first time, with only a bracelet from Nate's daughter Frankie revealing his identity. Former NBA Star Calls Out Doc Rivers After Controversial Decision

Despite having been around the NBA for a long time, Doc Rivers is one of the most scrutinized head coaches in recent history. This is because of his teams constantly underachieving, as well as his reputation as a playoff choker. In each of his first two playoff runs as the Milwaukee Bucks' head coach, the team was eliminated in the first round by the Indiana Pacers. Regardless of his standing in NBA discussions, Rivers is well-respected in the league. Furthermore, he coached the Boston Celtics to their 17th championship victory in 2008, which was their first in 22 years up to that point. However, he had an opportunity to bring another championship to Boston before losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2010 NBA Finals. Advertisement Over a decade later, one of the Celtics' role players from that time called out Rivers for a decision he made that may have cost the team another banner. Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc RiversBenny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports The 2009-10 Celtics were led by their top players, particularly Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Rajon Rondo. However, they also had some solid rotation players, including backup guard Nate Robinson. Boston acquired Robinson from the New York Knicks ahead of that year's trade deadline, and he was solid when he stepped on the court. However, 15 years later, the former Celtics guard feels like he should have gotten more playing time in the NBA Finals as he felt he could have helped the team defeat the Lakers. Advertisement "I played in the Finals. I didn't really get to play like that because Doc Rivers was on some [expletive]," Robinson said on the Straight Game Podcast. "But I was mad because we lost by four points. I said, 'D, I can score four points in my sleep, bro.' I couldn't believe it. He didn't even play me that game. I was hurt watching that confetti fall and watching Kobe Bryant just enjoy… That could have been us. I was sick." The Seattle native appeared in all seven games in the NBA Finals for Boston, but he averaged just 10.3 minutes and 4.3 field goal attempts per game. The Celtics lost the series and would not win another championship until 2024. Unfortunately for Robinson, he made the playoffs just two more times after 2010 and never made it back to the NBA Finals.
