Plumbing merchant raises more than £5k for Bolton Woods Centre
A Bradford-based plumbing merchant has raised more than £5,000 for a community centre. Graham Plumbing Merchant has raised £5,173 for the Bolton Woods Centre over the past two years. The centre provides opportunities for young people and the wider community, and the money raised has funded two youth residential trips to Glencoe, Scotland. The centre is now fundraising for a community minibus. A spokesperson for the Bolton Woods Centre said: "A minibus will be a game-changer for Bolton Woods and surrounding areas, helping elderly residents get to hospital appointments and do their shopping without worrying about expensive taxis or unreliable public transport." Other cited benefits of a minibus were provision for youth groups and families to enjoy day trips, residentials, and outdoor adventures; provision for community members to explore Yorkshire and visit heritage sites; and "ensur[ing] Bolton Woods is fully mobilised for the BD25 City of Culture events." Centre manager Nathan Wilson added: "I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Mark and his incredible team at Graham Plumbing Merchant for their dedication, generosity, and hard work. "Your support is truly invaluable." More information about the Bolton Woods Centre is available at
