Ministry of Interior Wins Innovation and IoT Award for ‘First Responder' Project at Bahrain Smart Cities Summit 2025
The Ministry of Interior has been honored with the Innovation and Internet of Things Award for its groundbreaking 'First Responder' project at the Bahrain Smart Cities Summit 2025. The award was presented by His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to Deputy Chief of Public Security, Major-General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. On receiving the award, Major-General Dr. Shaikh Hamad expressed gratitude for the unwavering support extended by His Excellency the Interior Minister and the consistent supervision of the Chief of Public Security — both of which have played a vital role in advancing the services provided by the National Ambulance Centre for the benefit of citizens and residents. He also voiced pride in the achievement, highlighting that this award underscores the Ministry's ongoing commitment to refining access routes and boosting the speed and efficiency of medical emergency responses, particularly in areas challenged by traffic congestion and narrow pathways across the Kingdom's governorates.

First Responder for Ambulance Motorcycle Achieves Remarkable Success
TDT | Manama The First Responder for Ambulance Motorcycle initiative has achieved immense success, reinforcing Bahrain's commitment to swift emergency response. The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, recently visited the National Ambulance Centre to oversee its operations and assess the preparedness of its services. The visit was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources, Major-General Adel Ameen. Lt-General Al Hassan praised the unwavering support of His Excellency, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, for the National Ambulance project. He commended the Minister's dedication to enhancing emergency medical services to ensure rapid and efficient responses to critical situations. Highlighting the significance of the National Ambulance project, the Chief noted that it was developed according to global standards, incorporating international expertise in emergency medicine.
